Exactly what I have been hearing.

Pretty sure He broke his hand in the first 5 minutes of the first quarter and played the rest of the game with it taped then played against Corbin then had surgery to repair.

The statistic that stands out to me is Chuck Smiths record in state championships(7-1).

Boyle doesn’t have but one kid leading anything in the state and that is kicking. They are a team not a one man show but they have ALOT of great players that are going to college to play so one guy doesn’t have to be a STAT leader.

Give Reese Smith and Cummings 10 touches a game and they would be on a different level from everybody else. They both play on teams that don’t need them to be the only star.

What is everybody's input on this award on whether it is a career or single season award? I have no idea. Can you tell us a little more about their past accomlishments? Everybody that keeps up with KY Football knows who they are they have made a statement especially Hightower.

I am excited to see how he does against Boyle. If he shreds their defense just go ahead and hand him the award. If not I think all the two way guys should have a shot but they probably don’t with him being from Lex and being a UK kid.

Boyle will get their chance pretty soon to show whether they are legit or not. I am not sold on them just yet. They are taking care of business with what they have been playing.

Sorry just went back and looked I must have been mistaken about Bartleson being listed in the preseason list I couldn't find his name listed.

BoCo kids are fighting an up hill battle right now with the lack of strength of schedule and only playing a few series. Lanter has attempted 16 passes to Allen's 49! Hopefully the road gets a little tougher the starters will get to play alot more. I thought Bartleson was also in your preseason list? Pretty sure Smith had an interception last week also.

42-7 in favor of Cov Cath. Lex Cath scores late. I don't think Allen will have enough time to get comfortable and throw it.

So just to get some thoughts on this. Is the Mr. Football award a career award or one year bang award? If it is a career award I think Vito definitely needs to be in the running regardless of what he does this year.

Thanks and the Sebastian kid is a great player and has been a lot of fun watching him this year I have seen him play several times this year. Seems like a great young man.

So my question was, is it based off of statistics alone? So could little Johnny say the heck with whether his team wins or loses and score 40 a game and win the award? I am just asking cause I have no clue and have wondered in the past. Who votes on this?

Good question, is it all based off scoring or how well you lead your team and how good your team is?
