  1. Hate to be that guy, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the 9th region is already over.
  2. Maybe you're right. I might be thinking of the K from the Highland's game. I don't keep a book so you're probably right. Just ask team statistician Jake Nordman for the book. He knows his stuff and will be glad to let you take a look.
  3. Holocher struck out twice, I believe. Check those stats out TOG :sssh:.
  4. I'm sure TOG will have some stats and comments a little later. Good pitching by Krumme but sub par bullpen appearances by Martin and Gerwe. :ohbrother: Good job by Darner to close it out. The bats aren't quite there all the way for the Colonels but they're getting there. Also Scott's Sauder (sp?) was 4-4 today while getting the loss from the bump.
  5. Thats a pretty large gap. . .
  6. Is on....11 o clock at CovCath
  7. Thought the way Krumps moved players around in the field was a little weird. RUNNERS IN SCORING POSITION!!!! To many left on base and left in scoring position. I believe CovCath on any other day wins the game by 8. Just getting the first game jitters out.
  8. Cov Cath has their opening day game at home today. Isler will probably be on the mound and maybe Sainola or Head for Highlands. Who do you got?
  9. Might I ask why he is nicknamed "chuckwagon"? I've seen it too many times.
  10. With this upcoming weather teams might be done until next week sometime.
  11. :eyeonyou: :isurrender:
  12. The only thing Matty has lost is his speed and obviously a little strength. Once he gets that back (I have no clue how long that will be), he will be nearly the same player.
  13. 2 charges already called against Holmes that were both clear blocks after watching the replay.
  14. Holmes needs to lay off the 3 ball for awhile and start pounding the ball inside.
  15. The Middle infield will be much improved this year as Tyler Holocher has massively improved over the past year, Siemer the Colonels only true 2nd baseman will be at 2nd. The outfield, who some thought could have been better, will probably improve from last year. Nutini will be the anchor in center along with Lafever and Warning on the corners. All who are true outfielders. Look for Siemer to be the bunter in the 2 hole this year.
  16. Im hearing a lot of bricks on the Elliott County end of the court.
  17. Not to mention he still hits against the teams in the 11th and holds his own to say the least. First game of the year I believe they played Lex Cath against a dominate Maronde and from what I remember he was 1-2 against him. Faced Chandler Shepherd of Lawrence County, state runner ups, and did very well against him (led the Colonels to a win). Just because he doesn't face it every day, doesn't mean he can't hit it. My personal opinion is he is the purest hitter in the state from what I've seen, and the most fundamentally sound catchers I've seen at the high school level. His pop-time is already up to college par.
