  1. Carolina just seems to be on a mission. I think Cam Newton will go crazy in the Super Bowl. He is just such a hard player to individually defense and there's no tomorrow so he can lay it all on the line.
  2. Last year the crowds for the opening round games were from 4800 - 5000, quarters were 5500 and 4300, semis 4500 and finals 5300 per the KHSAA.
  3. Nah just thought maybe you were big into statistics and probablity.
  4. 900 wins is impressive indeed. Are these all at the high school level? Just wondered how he ranks nationally. I couldn't find him listed among the all-time wins leaders in the NFHS database. There were several on there from Ky.
  5. Bertsch 25, Wilson 18, Hegyi 12, Clos 11, Mcgovney 11, Day 9, Measner 2, Teegarden 1 per the KHSAA website.
  6. Tough to gauge Conner on one bad outing without one of their leading scorers. CovCath can expose you if you are not 100% healthy and you don't bring your "A" game. Conner has been very competitive against almost every team they have played and have been without Hemmerich since before Christmas. This is the most points the Camels have scored all year and against a team that will get after you on defense. I wouldn't take anything away from them on this win, maybe not signature but a good win none the less.
  7. You math guys are something else. Live with the 3 and die with the 3. What's the probability of that? If it happens in a one and out situation say goodnight!
  8. Low compared to the better teams in the state but you bring up a good point about the freshmen. Actually they have shot it much better than the senior so far this year. I guess I would still like to see them go inside more to maybe set up a little better look. What disturbs me about this team is that they don't shoot a whole lot better from 2 then 3.
  9. What do you mean? Just because you take more doesn't mean that you WILL make more.
  10. Money that's the bottom line with Mike Brown. Imo Brown is more likely to get rid of Dalton and his big contract than trade a very cheap McCarron.
  11. I haven't followed it closely enough and maybe I missed some discussion on this but could Tai Wynyard help this team? Is he just not ready or does Cal not plan on him playing at all this year? He certainly has the size that they are lacking inside.
  12. Apparently some coaches think that if you shoot enough of them you should make more. Personally I think they need to look inside more often then they do. A little inside out game can get you better looks at times.
  13. Just a side note, I thought that Terry Niehaus and Dave Bezold did an excellent job on the radio call of the game. Bezold added nice touches to the broadcast from a coaches perspective.
  14. If people think HC doesn't have a huge advantage playing good teams at home they haven't seen many big games there. There's something about playing all the time in that gym that the visitors don't get to experience. The closeness is something that other gyms around the area don't have and shooting background, tight baselines and the deafening sound are tough to get used to in a single game. Huge advantage HC imho.
  15. You want to play a regional tilt at the Finn? It's bad enough to play the district there. You'd have to get there at 4:00 to get in.
  16. If you're going to talk about the O-line at least spell their names right.
  17. A field goal was the last thing on Marvin's mind. That's why he said they weren't in range. You don't even really want to attempt a field goal. You could have punted to a corner and made Ben get into field goal range without time outs and a short clock. A missed field goal would have given them excellent shape.
  18. You can debate this type stuff all day long but the bottom line is the guy that needs to go is Marvin Lewis but we know that's not happening. This team has changed players, OCs and DCs but the constant and biggest reason imo that the Bengals continue to under perform in prime time is Marvin Lewis. Poor team preparation, poor clock management, poor overall team performance starts with the head coach. Stupid penalties are all part of game management and Marvin Lewis has failed miserably in all these things.
  19. Is this the same Steelers team that hadn't won a playoff game since 2011?
  20. What does being a punk have to do with Hill fumbling? Had the dumb coaching staff told him to simply go down on contact instead of trying to get extra yards this discussion would have probably been a mute issue. No leadership whatsoever with Marvin in charge.
