  1. Couldn't find the girls team results but here are the individual events. Boone County Championship - Complete Results
  2. We all know how much cred you have on here. If he is your pick he is destined to fail.
  3. Good to see the reliever streak is alive and well again!
  4. I guess it's okay if we get to see him play regularly but if he's going to man the bench then it is a huge mistake imo.
  5. Nothing worse than seeing a grown adult doing it either. The most annoying thing I ever see at the park without a doubt.
  6. Sad thing is he's only hitting .010 less than the $250m man Votto.
  7. I guess they had to take multiple WRs because they messed up their pick at # 15. According to the talking heads they could have gotten a more needed position there or at least a better WR. As for all the WRs, why would you waste picks on guys who probably won't make the team. I'm sure there were needs they could have filled with say 2 less WRs.
  8. Does anybody have a any doubt now why the Browns are as bad as they are? Is Matt Millen calling the shots there now? 13 picks so far and 5 WRs? I guess Josh Gordon can coach them up!
  9. The Nationals were everybody's pick to win it all last year and totally under achieved. The toothpick fell into a pretty sweet situation thanks to his friendship with upper management. Let's see how they do in the post season before anointing him the next coming!
  10. Last time I looked pitchers don't hit in the AL.
  11. How's David Price and that $217m contract working out out for you?
  12. No problem Marty Brennaman stated that with the way Votto hit in training camp he would contend for a batting title! So much for that statement.
  13. No problem we have .167 hitting Hamilton and .185 hitting Votto wrapped around Suarez coming up.
  14. If Barry Larkin has any interest in managing at the big league level I would think he would jump at an opportunity to manage his hometown team. Cincy would be much more tolerant of a rookie manager than elsewhere.
  15. Why do you think Price's job is on the line? Do you really think they can get a seasoned manager with the team they trot out there everyday? I don't think they go anywhere until the team gets better prepared to compete and that will take seasoning by some young pitchers.
  16. Just answered my own question, duh! Chicago's opening home game.
  17. Isn't it a little odd to start a road series on Monday with an off day Tuesday?
  18. As is high school basketball everywhere at least in the state of Ky. Go to a game anywhere and look at the students in the crowd. It's really sad that kids don't go to games anymore. As for the championship game look at the teams in the game and tell me what kind of crowd they draw. I know that CovCath had a great crowd when they won in 2014.
  19. The old format was a terrible format. Whoever drew the last game of the opening round was at a huge disadvantage. I understand that kids play multiple games in a day in AAU but in the old format if you drew the last game you played at 8:00 pm on Thursday which meant you got started closer to 8:30 pm, If you won you did the same thing on Friday night. If you won that game you had to come back at 11:30 am the next morning and then 8:00 pm that night if you got to the championship game. That meant 4 games in the span of 50 hours and 3 in 26 hours. If you drew the first game in the tournament you played at noon on Wednesday, got Thursday off and then played Friday at noon, Saturday at 10:00 am and Saturday night at 8:00 pm. You tell me that isn't a huge disadvantage. I want to see quality teams at their best to get the best champion. I don't want to see a tired team trying to play on guts alone as Holmes had to do in 1980. For those that can remember that year here is a synopsis. Holmes led by Dickie Beal drew the last game on Thursday night and played Paducah Tilghman, winning 90-77. They then had to go up against a very big Ashland team on Friday night and won 97-92 in 2 ots finishing around midnight. By the time Reynolds Flynn got the team back to the hotel, fed and in bed it was close to 2:30 am thanks to a wreck on the Watterson Expressway. When the team walked out on the floor at 11:30 am the next morning you knew it would be a long morning for them as they looked extremely sluggish. Owensboro blew them out of the gym in what everyone you talked to said would be the real championship game. Anyone who remembers the Holmes 1980 team remembers they relied on their speed and quickness as did the Owensboro team. Lots of people expected a game in the 90s but it was truly one-sided. Now I'm not saying that Holmes would have beaten them given today's format but I know I for one would have liked to see that game under different circumstances. I think the entire crowd was cheated out of that chance.
