Question on the 9th region games @ Bank Of Kentucky

Featured Replies

Will there be radio/web audio and or video broadcasts of the 9th region games?

CovCath Internet radio will be there doing the CovCath games. Link

I am sure that there will be others but I don't think any live video will be allowed!

Dixie vs NCC final last year was one of the best high school games ever and no video.....rules need to change.

You in Florida?

Was it last year that there was a big stink raised about media coverage?

No video at all? Or no broadcast?

Can teams still tape the game?

No broadcast...Dixie used their video to sell to students/parents who wanted a copy and gave one to every player

I think this would be a violation of the law unless they got a release from the BOK.

Tri State Internet Sports Radio will be broadcasting the entire tournament. Audio only.

I talked to Stan Steidel about video and although it's a no go for this year, next year may be a different story. There is a protocol that has to be followed, which we will honor. Next year, if approved, we will have video of the games. Nothing live, but video to be available online.

A Dixie fan may know more about the circumstances or situation than myself.

A little off the topic but has anyone noticed how really few schools are playing in the Ninth Region Tourneys this year.

District Boys............Girls

36th....NCC..............NCC

36th....HHS..............HHS

35th....CovCath........NDA

35th....Holmes..........Holmes

34th....Dixie.............Dixie

34th....Lloyd............St. Henry

33rd....Boone...........Boone

33rd....Cooper..........Ryle

So of the sixteen possible schools playing in the Ninth Region Tourney this year, twelve are from the same school!

Nkysports.com will have audio only coverage of the tournament. Got the confirmation earlier today.

I will have the call along with Damian Roll Thurs, Sat, and Sun.

Going to UC Marquette Wed night or I'd be doing those games as well.

$4 dollars to park this year. Is this the same as last year? I also wish they were playing the boys and girls championships on the same day instead of having to make two trips on Saturday and Sunday. Why was the double header eliminated?
