Holy Cross 6 Campbell County 2 in latonia Campbell Got up early 2 -0 on misplayed bunt in the third. Holy Cross Scored 1 in the 4th on an infield hit, pass ball and a bad throw on a steal attemps at third. Holy Cross Scored 5 in the 5th, Campbell used 3 pitcher that inning, several walks and misques in the inning. Campbell County Catcher was on base all night with at least 3 hits. Holy Cross hardest hit ball, double to left by left handed pinch hitter in the 6th. Defensive play of the game, Runners on first and second in top of the 6th with no outs Campbell hit a line drive up the middle backhanded by the second baseman for an easy double play. Overall well played game.

There is no longer out of district tuition. If you come from a diocese Grade School all students pay the same. I know this holds true for St. Pius, St. Agnes stc. students that go to Holy Cross.

BOYS' HOOPS: Newport senior basketball player Damarkco Foster on Tuesday signed with Southeastern Illinois, according to Newport coach Aric Russell. Foster, an Enquirer first team all-star, transferred to Newport before the 2009-10 season. He led the underdog Wildcats to a Ninth Region title, scoring 26 points in a championship game upset of Holmes. For the season, the 6-3 guard averaged 14 points, six rebounds and three assists per game. Foster is the second high-profile Northern Kentucky senior to sign with a junior college this year. Enquirer player of the year Elijah Pittman, of Holmes, signed with Chipola Junior College. Austin Hill, a former Holmes standout, played two seasons at Southeastern Illinois. He's now a junior at Division I program Illinois State.

For the first time Im aware of Holy Cross had try outs for 8th graders yesterday keeping 7 I hear. They only had 10 freshman on the team. This is common at HC in every sport except Boys basketball.

I have heard the same thing. It would obviously impact 2 programs.

He applied for every job in the Greater Cincinnati are last year, i would guess he would again.

In the summer he caught all the time the last 2 years. Without question the best catcher in the SWOL.

He will attend college somewhere. The original plan was to take a year of prep school after this year. With all the turmoil changing schools and states the ACT got lost. He has good grades but no ACT at this point.

Congratulations to The Wildcats on a great year. Foster transfering was the needed addition to an already good team. Having know Foster for over a year, thanks has to go to Mr. Draud for all his hard work in making the transfer happen smoothly. Foster came very close to going elsewhere, but thankfully it all worked out for everyone. Good luck in the Sweet 16.

Im not I die hard CCH fan at all. However, I think coach L got the most out of his team this year. Im sure it will not be good enough for some, but TOG is correct CCH played Newport much better the most. Great season

Saw him catch the last 2 summers he is great behind the plate. I hear they want him to pitch and he will not catch this year.
