  1. Due to poor weather conditions the lights kept going out. They had a couple of long delays and both teams agreed that if the lights went out a third time they would call it a draw.
  2. Congratulations!!!!!!! :dancingpa Big time pitching and a clutch hit by K'Osha Puente to plate the tying and winning run. Coach Ryver has done a good job. 16th region coach of the year?
  3. I have to agree that Jones not eligible hurt them. I still think if he played they would have had two in a row as well.
  4. I remember that. My dad and I were there for a whole day (about 8 games) and counted only 3 or 4 times the shot clock came into play for all of those games.
  5. Exactly my thoughts! :thumb:
  6. That is exactly what I was meaning. I guess I should not have said the only home team because they still have to get past Anderson Co. first.
  7. :thumb:Kinda sends chills through ya.
  8. Yeah that is about right. I have been to the state tournament since I was little and have seen the crowd (neutral fans) get behind the small schools, country schools, underdogs, etc... I just think Elliott Co. will have that this year.
  9. check out the ads.....etc. thread in the general forum
  10. I pick Elliott Co. because they are the only home team in the tournament. If they get past the first game, they will have 20,000 fans to push them on.
  11. I don't think it is as much the 10th, 11th, or 16th per say. Alot has to do with growth of NKY, they are just about in need of two regions like the L-ville area. Also, in the mountains they are consolidating the smaller schools into one. Teams are just going to have to keep moving south. The way I see it I believe the 40th district will soon be Mason Co., Deming, Fleming Co., St. Pat; that will be the southern boundary of the 10th region.

  14. From Maysville take AA about 40 miles to US27 exit. Turn right and go about 3 miles to Northern Kentucky University main entrance. Turn left at that light on to Nunn Drive. You will see the arena.

  16. I am just glad that one guy showed up. With the nice weather I thought him and Buck might skip the game and go fishing.
  17. I have no dog in the fight. But the way I saw it. 1. The Griffith girl was MVP. She was the best player in the tournament. 2. The refs had nothing to do with the outcome. With about four minutes to go Elliott Co. was right there and their coach and team blew up. In about 45 seconds it went from a 5 point lead to a 15 point lead. Congratulation to Elliott Co. on a great year, nothing to be ashamed of. Congrats to Rowan Co., and good luck in Bowling Green,
  18. Congrats to Coach Feldhaus and his team.
  19. That is exactly what I said to people sitting near me. I have not seen a team come out with that kind of focus, they were on a mission. If they continue that focus, I believe they will return to Rupp.
  20. Ahhh, you are making me reminisce. That would be the greatest thing, and I would accept St. Pat. A serious rivalry in every game and great competition. :thumb:
  21. I have only seen Elliott Co. girls play 2 or 3 times the last couple of seasons, but noticed they have a couple good players that could continue playing in college. Any of them going on to college to play?
  22. OK. I just thought you may be making an issue with public schools vs. private schools. I know that is a totally different debate, and there are differences of opinion on both public vs. private. I just think this is a good opportunity for any kid that gets this chance. I have always thought that everyone should see the Ocean at least once in their life, as that is one of the greatest sights I have ever seen, and still amazes me every time I get a chance to go see it. No matter where the kid goes to school it is a great thing for them to go. Hope to see you in Florida!
  23. Thanks for the link. :thumb:
