Hey fan, I am from the good old days at Fort Knox. And it has been a while since they were a force. Heck it's been a while since they won a game. but it was back in the early 80's (won State Championship in 83, lost in 84 to NCC, made semi-state and lost some great played games to Mayfield, won state again in 88 beat Corbin, then a couple good years after that, I think we lost to Breathitt in 95 or 96). Personally, I still keep in touch with a lot of my former teammates and with the way the military works it is hard to keep kids on the base with parents transferring every few years. But yeah they are aware of the program still and what has been going on, but what can you do.

Its Jordan Hammonds and he is at Asbury College, in Wilmore, Ky. But I have been told that he won't be playing until the end of December, but he is doing great up there, and enjoys it a lot more than his last school.

Knox will win this one to set up another showdown between Knox and Bell. This should be a good one. But first they have to win this one.

I agree with Newarkcathloicfan. It starts with the teams that are playing. I have never understood why schools or booster clubs put on these bowl games and then invite out of state or teams that have to travel 2-2 1/2 hours away to play in a bowl game. I mean the main objective is to raise money. So why not invite local teams to play in these things you will get a good gate, and there will be some interest from the community and the sponsors that are sponsoring that event. For example, the Pigskin Classic brought in three good teams. But you have Dunbar playing Mboro. I am sure a lot of fans would come from Lynn Camp, Whitley, Bell, heck other local teams that would bring a lot of fans that would put money at the gate. Heck try to sit up the game like a college game, bring in stuff that doesn't normally come in. Get those inflatables and give the kids a place to go and have fun. Bring in a local radio station to brodcast from the pre-game, this would just bring more people in and there is all kinds of ideas. Heck hire me to direct this thing, I will make it a great time for everyone. But it has to start up wiht the matchups of the teams playing.

Everyone is saying Scott County but of course they are if they have players transferring into their school system for whatever reason. Come on people they should win the state title for the next couple years.

I agree with those that are wanting the District winner and Runner Up to make the playoffs. I think the KHSAA has changed this to allow more teams to make the playoffs and to allow more gate money coming through. It really makes the regular season seem like it doesn't matter. If they want to do that figure out some way were you have to win "X" amount of games to qualify for the playoffs. Reward those better teams with a bye week maybe during the first week of the playoffs.

Happy ol dad, I know when I played football (we had a pretty good prgram at Fort Knox in the early mid 80's) it was common for us to not practice in pads every day. It would give our bodies a rest from the pounding and wear. But I can't speak for your coach, but looking at your record this season I am sure your coach knows what he was doing, but I could be wrong. Good luck rest the season.

Catman I have to agree with you 100%, some of those fans from Lynn Camp made that program look bad. I heard mothers using language that was way inapproiate and sure you all paid to see the game but come on now that is crazy. And like Catman said these are kids, no matter if they like each other or not, you don't tell kids to go ahead and start taking cheap shots on the opposing team. One dad ran up and down the field all night yelling at the refs threating him. Campers, I like your program, Coach Mittchell is a great coach that finds a way to win, you guys have some good athletes over at LC and not just in football and I'm sure it is tough being the "little school" in the Tri-County area, but I would hope that the fans don't ruin it for these kids. Some questionable calls on both sides of the ball, but not as bad as you all think.

I'm pulling for Knox in this game. Well let me say as ong as KC doesn't shoot themself in the foot and loose the ball and keeps the mistakes down KC should win this game. Coach Mills has done a great job not just with the team but with the program at Knox. If South had any defense they would be one of the top teams in their class.

I've watched Whitley three times this year and they have gotten better each game. I like Lynn Camp but I am afraid unlike last year, Whitley will win this game pretty easy. But I would like to see how it would end up had LC not had all the injuries.
