The game was hard fought. Think the officials need a few refresher courses on HS rules, though. Some penalties got college yardage. The call on Illegal Participation was the insane one. We had 10 on the field, got 1 on, which gave us 11, then got called for 12.

Another one was the half the distance to the goal penalty from the 18 which ended up on the 11. My all time favorite tonight was when W'burg managed to pick up 5 yards on an end of the quarter switch in the 1st half. The ball was spotted before the horn at 3rd and 8, when play resumed they had it 3rd and 2 or 3.:creepy:

It was hard fought and was cheapend by bad officiating, IMO.

Congrats to the Jackets, though. We'll be looking for you next year over here.:thumb:

Radio Crew said the Officials came from Harlan....I think the Jackets were better than the Wildcats. Maybe they can have a re match in a few weeks to settle the score.

The guy that took pictures for me said it was well-officiated for both side. Said Williamsburg was penalized for more than 100 yards easily in the game.

Seems as though neither side was satisfied with the officiating. I heard Williamsburg's coach on the radio after the game and he stated that Williamsburg seemed to be getting all the penalties and Lynn Camp none of them. I guess it depended on which side of the field you sat on.

All in all I thought it was officiated pretty good, Ralph and company could have been there LOL...The officials did spot the ball wrong as DaddyCat said...

Sure sign of an evenly called game...both thought calls went against them....but the Coach at WHS said his team was making alot of mistakes and they would correct those once they got their receivers back in practice. Coach Herron is not one to make excuses.

Good game. The Campers showed up to play. Wagner gave them a lift psychologically. It is a shame that he has been injured this year. Williamsburg won this game up front. The Persons kid will be sore tomorrow. He took a beating but kept on going after it. To much Ed Lawson for Lynn Camp.
