Williamsburg 28 Lynn Camp 12

Featured Replies

How many seniors does Williamsburg have?

They recognized the 8th graders coming in next year (to the varsity program) and it looks like they only have a handful to help replinish numbers.

Just looked at the playoff match ups. W'burg may make it to week 3.

They, will more then likely have to play LCA in round 2. I'm not saying they will lose, but that is a tough game.

Williamsburg is starting a pretty good streak against Lynn Camp of late! In the last 5 years the Jackets are 5-1. They have won the last three contest in a row.

As far as the fans from Lynn Camp, I was shocked by anything except before the game when the Jackets were warming up. There was a female fan that was cursing obsenities at the Williamsburg players. I do not think this is the standard for the Lynn Camp fans. I know I have been embarresed by the actions of 1 or 2 Jacket fans before as well.

As far as the Refs, the black hat in the middle of the field (who threw the most flags on Williamsburg and Lynn Camp) simply seemed unaware of the rules. It simply seemed to be to big of a game for him, he looked like a younger kid. I can see where Lynn Camp and Williamsburg would have been frustrated with that guy.

The game was a line dominated game for the most part. The WHS line handed it to the front 7 of the Lynn Camp defense. I also did not see the Lynn Camp offesive line get any movement up front from the Williamsburg defensive line.

Williamsburg was very banged up in their skilled positions, and it was very evident. I hope the two weeks to heal before their next game will help. Daniel Petite finally seems to be feeling better after a ankle injury and looked very good on the short curl routes.

Lets do it again next year!!!:dancingpa

Williamsburg will have a good group next year with Ryan Moses and 3 recievers, 1 running back, and a lot of juniors to play the line. They also have a couple of kids that transfered who are sitting out this year who will help out a lot. They will be hurting in depth though. Williamsburg 7th grade class is their next big class.

I keep wondering about that. I'm not sure, but what would be the second round matchups? I was thinking Williamsburg got the Fairview/Campbellsville winner.

I know we have LCA. Does W'burg play the winner of that game? If they do, I recant. If it is LCA, LCA will end W'burg's season.

If it's us, looks like another evening of fun, fans and football.

I agree about the official, Return. They had no real clue about rules other than the basics and this game was a bit much for their skill sets. (And they were not real good at the basic calls, either!)

Lynn Camp returns a lot, also.

A great freshman class coming up and the injured that are still there come back.

Especially Napier, who will make a huge difference in the running attack.

Next year could be a great game.

We can't wait for our chance at LCA. We having been looking for another chance at them since last season. They are a good team and we are a good team. I hope it happens, right here a the Burg. Lets get it on. :fight:

I would still favor LCA in that one, wherever it is played. They have just about every single player back from last year. I just think they are too much for any team in our district. Williamsburg is good this year, just not at the elite status that the Beechwood/LCA/Racelands are. W'burg has a good team. LCA has the better team, IMO.

We will see!!!It should be a great game.

I would think that Williamsburg would have to play their best, mistake free football to have any chance against a team like LCA. IMO, that game is coming up, but I don't think it will be all that close.

Region 3

(4) Clinton County at (1) Raceland

(3) Lynn Camp at (2) Lexington Christian

(2) Campbellsville vs. (3) Fairview

(1) Williamsburg vs. (4) Paris

Second Round:

The winner of the Clinton/Raceland game would play the winner of the Campbellsville/Fairview game.

The winner of the Lynn Camp/LCA game would play the winner of Williamsburg/Paris game.

Then the two winner would play for the Regional Championship.

Does anybody see any changes in the Lynn Camp offense coming? They don't seem to give much different looks or make the defense change at all. I think they would have better results if they made the defense change a little. They did hurt Williamsburg with the power pass against a freshman who kept playing it wrong (which I thought was good coaching). They got as may first downs because of penalties, than they did from their offense.

Hey Daddy Cat maybe Lynn Camp will beat LCA and we can do this game again. ;)

Williamsburg can play and beat LCA. And so can Lynn Camp, if healthy. A lot of people aren't giving Williamsburg or Lynn Camp the credit they deserve.
