We were both in print with it. Just trying to use a "professional" opinion to help out my argument from last year. LC was a heavy favorite and no one could have known Joe was going to come up lame. (I still have the paper here somewhere with the picks, I'm sure :lol:.)

So they beat Beechwood years ago and we both beat Frankfort years ago.

Does anyone know if LC/W'burg would be the 2nd round or 3rd?

I'm thinking LC would probably have to beat LCA and Raceland:scared: both to even think about a rematch. I am probably wrong, but I think that W'burg would play the C'ville/Fairview winner.

 

It's our 1 (Burg) against their 4 (Paris), and their 3 (Fairview) against our 2 (C'ville), right?

That would put their 1(Raceland) against our 4(Clinton) and their 2(LCA) against our 3 (LC).

Then the winners against winners, would keep LC and Burg away from each other until the Region?

Somebody clear this up.

 

Wburg would play winner of #3 LC and #2 LCA. By seeding you would expect Our 1 seed would play their 2 and Their 1 seed play our 2 in second round. It would be same as 04 when LC beat 2ssed and then came to Wburg for a rematch.

I know I did.

I tried to look it up, but had nothing that far back.

I knew we had played Beechwood and Frankfort in the last 8 years, and you had played F'fort and LCA in the last few years, and the only win I can remember by either LC or the Burg (Recently) is the LC/Frankfort (When they were really bad) game.

 

I also realize with the seeding how it looks, but I am getting conflicting stories on if it's our 1 and 2 or our 1 and their 2 in the 2nd round. I can remember the '04 situation, but in '03 our 2 (us) played the other districts 1 (Hazard) on our way to their 2 (Pikeville) in the Region Final. It goes both ways.

Just want the facts for this year.

The winner of the Clinton/Raceland game would play the winner of the Campbellsville/Fairview game.

 

The winner of the Lynn Camp/LCA game would play the winner of Williamsburg/Paris game.

 

Then the two winner would play for the Regional Championship

All in all I thought it was officiated pretty good, Ralph and company could have been there LOL...The officials did spot the ball wrong as DaddyCat said...

 

Once again, I think it goes to the time the flags are thrown.

 

The first series for Williamsburg, 4 and long, and there is a 'non-existent' 12th man on the field, flag on Lynn Camp, first down for Williamsburg.

 

One of Lynn Camp's first series, 3rd and short, there is an obvious 'non-call" for pass interference - the defender never looked back for the ball, wrapped his arm around Sidney Wagner and even shoved him. Yet, there was no call.

 

Two times the ball popped out of Williamsburg players' hands on the Lynn Camp side of the field, the official on Lynn Camp's side of the field drops his bean bag, and the official with the obstructed view on Williamsburg's sideline comes in and calls the ball down.

 

This was a hard fought game on both sides, however, I do believe that every possible call that mattered went Williamsburg's way. I think this is another game that shows how much Kentucky needs to have some way that the refs are held accountable for their calls.

No problem. To my knowledge these districts have never faced each other in the playoffs. Do you know of any match ups between these eight teams?

LC has played none of them (at least recently.)

W'burg has played at least LCA. I think they may have played Raceland once. Maybe it was Whitley. One of the two played Raceland in the old Bowl game they hosted together a while back.

Sure sign of an evenly called game...both thought calls went against them....but the Coach at WHS said his team was making alot of mistakes and they would correct those once they got their receivers back in practice. Coach Herron is not one to make excuses.

 

If most of the HUGE calls were in his favor, why should he make excuses. I don't know what is in the water in Williamsburg, but it sure does something to the refs. This is the second game that I have seen in Williamsburg this year where, in my opinion, the refs have cost the visiting teams dearly. I think there that in the off-season there should be a HUGE emphasis on holding the refs accountable for their games.

When I heard yesterday that the officials was the harlan crew I told many people they are the best in the mountians. Boy I was wrong they screwed up with the penalties they did call and two very obvious fumbles..Taking nothing away from W-burg they won and rightly so.....But talk about class, did you see #78 from W-burg take the knee's out from wagner way behind the play knowing that wagner just come back from knee surgery now that is class...

 

I agree whole-heartedly with you Cat N The Hat, what about the numerous cheap shots that the Williamsburg players were taking on Lynn Camp's players. From pulling them down, to late hits, to hitting out of bounds, to shoving in the back, to trying to take out Wagner's knees. I think that Williamsburg's players showed no class whatsoever in this game, but the refs should have ended a lot of the extra curricular stuff with some flags.

Now I can see why these two teams really do dislike each other so much.

Why would LC's coach play Wagner knowing he just come back from knee surgery ? I wouldn't let my son play that soon after surgery. I think LC's coach was trying to take W'burg's QB out. Did any LC fans hear what LC Big Mama said when the W'burg QB went down ( break the F's arm ). W'burg had 200 yards in penalties. What was LC's total yards in penalties ? "Go Jackets"

 

The hits on Williamsburg's QB were LEGAL and all a part of the game. What do you call the hit on Wagner's knee FROM BEHIND after one of his punts??? Don't tell me that was accidental or legal!! That is trying to take someone out of the game!!!
