The game this Friday night has been moved to Thursday night at 7:30pm at War Memorial Stadium in Mayfield. The coaches decided to move the game from Friday night because of Halloween to let the coaches, parents, and fans be able to celebrate Halloween with their younger children or to be able to attend Halloween parties.

 

So the game this week is Thursday at 7:30pm and not Friday at Mayfield.

No problem...got the word from Coach Morris this morning so I thought I would pass it along to anyone that might need it. I know we are the 2nd game here in western Kentucky to have the game moved to Thursday night...the other was Lone Oak at Fulton City.

I am a little surprised Coach moved it, I would have thought he would want the extra day for practice/rest.

That's the word, yes. Had Friday's game been moved, Ashland typically pushes it to the following Saturday.

 

FWIW, there is another important game on Thursday...Ashland's freshman squad plays in an annual Kiwanis Bowl pitting Ashland against their Russell counterparts...

Just a question, "Do you CELEBRATE Halloween?" Just bored and was wondering. Ok really bored.....

But...yes, we celebrate Halloween. I live about 4 blocks from Putnam Stadium and we generally have over 200 kids "trick or treat" us in this neighborhood.

Yeah, I was about to say, even a football-rich city like Mayfield doesn't typically move holidays for football games, lol.
