Southern makes their much anticipated trip to the mountains. ;):D

Seriously, I'm seeing improvement but not wins in MSHS. Still, I like what KC has become.

Mods? Help?

I think Southern needs to play more of their players. I was at the game Friday night and for the live of me couldn't understand why they didn't sub. more. If bench players aren't good enough to play a few downs, then why are they on the team.

Thanks for your help and your comment.

BTW, for future reference, we're just plain Knox Central.

Knox County wins. But they better come ready to play!:ylsuper:

I should've known better since my son did his student teaching there. I'll change it.

MS is one of the worst teams I have seen in years. KC should handle them easily.

Knox should win this easily without breaking a sweat.

I threw a vote Southern's way because you've got to stand by blood. Two little cousins are freshmen on the team and I gotta back 'em. Come on Southern and dig deep for a little bit of pride and win you one.

I think that is a fair comment to about 75% of the schools. Why is it 1st team and 2nd team. When did mast schools eliminate the need for depth. At most schools, you only see 2nd team guys when the game is out of hand. Sub a player or tow for a play a series. It would do wonders for the kids confidence and depth building. When a team is up by 4 TD's in the Q4, and that be the first time that a back-up gets in the game, something is wrong with the philosophy.:madman:

NWO you need to realize that there are only about 26 active players right now because of some nagging injuries. Out of those 26 if I'm not mistaken about 20 played. Yes the bulk of O and D are played by the same 12 to 14 kids, but some of these kids are playing special teams etc. Some of the other kids I was told missed some practice time, and lets be real some are not ready to play varsity mnutes. Coach Brumley is teaching discipline by not letting kids who missed some practice play. I don't care what anyone says if you don't practice you don't play. Depth is hurting Southern, but that is not an excuse to let players play who haven't earned the time no matter what their record is. Southern has managed to stay competitive in almost every game except for a few where they were simply outmanned. That coaching staff has done a great job with what they have. Southern has three or four guys who could play at most schools, and if Coach Brumley has a good winter and get a few more guys who can help then Southern will be back to having strong teams. His staff has done a good job keeping these kids inspired, and I'll say this, this is one of the most disciplined teams that has been here no matter what their record is. Keep fighting Southern...I'll support you guys forever.

Knox will win this one by 14 points at least. Coach Mills has the program going in the right direction.
