Finally, FRIDAY! Hazard goes to Williamsburg in a epic battle for that region title. It will come down to one thing and it is simply Bulldog pride or Jacket pride. The team that will win the game will be the team that plays fast, 100%, and full go for 4 quarters. Given Hazard is a very good team, so is Williamsburg. Like I have posted earlier, Hazard is on huge upset alert. Sizemore, Hamblin, Griffith, Shelton, and Patrick all have to take the game into their own hands and play on the same page. EVERYONE WHO HAS POSTED ON THIS GAME LISTEN UP! Hazard will NOT beat Williamsburg, only Williamsburg can beat themselves. Good luck to both teams but I stick to my score prediction Williamsburg 38 Hazard 36. The difference in the game will be the defense of the jackets, and let me tell you what. I believe that the Jackets can really pull this one off! with the intensity and the focus they been having in the last few practices this week, these boys are more determined then ever to win the region. They already have it in their mind that they deserve it and they worked hard for it this season. in my opninion they do deserve it because with the caliber teams that has been through wiiliamsburg the last few years this team will not settle like the others they are eager and ready to go!

UPSET ALERT!!!! I think with the way the Jackets has been playing they a far from giving up just yet. If Sizemore execute his offense and hit play makers such as Griffith and Shelton then theres no stopping the Jackets from winning the region. Not only with a great recieving core the Jackets are very deep in the the back field with Jefferson Patrick and Devan Robinson. Not only can the Jackets beat the Bulldogs offensively but defensively as well with big Dakota Loy and Helton on the D-line and Logan Hamblin and Jefferson Patrick playing linebacker and you cant forget Jason sisk recking hovoc at the D-end position. Hazard will have to go through the toughg Jackets first before they claim the region already i say Jackets 38, Bulldogs 36

Shew. This one will be a good game, it will show how tough Williamsburg really is. It is a battle of Tennessee pride vs. Kentucky pride. Just like in college football Tennesse is just better. I believe that will translate to the high school field as far as strength and athleticism go. Better coaching goes to Williamsburg, but lack of leaders and age will hurt them. I do believe the better team is Oneida and I think 99 times out of 100 they beat the Jackets. This is the one exception though and it is a huge risk taking the Jackets. Go for the UNDERDOG. Heard about the Shelton kid. Very sorry to hear for him and that family. I know Williamsburg will have him in their hearts friday night and it is going to be very hard to be a team that has something to really play for. I usually have something to say about both teams in my predictions but I truely feel sorry for Leslie County friday night. Williamsburg 42 Leslie Co. 20 Freshman Griffith will have a huge game along with little brother Lowrie.

Dec 21st, I heard on the radio that the Jackets took out a talented Lynn Camp team by 5+, does anyone know? How did both teams look?

My thoughts on Williamsburg basketball has completely diminished after their loss to Pineville. They won big against Middlesboro and Owsley County, but Pineville is not good and Pineville just beat them around. From what I am seeing so far it's Jones and Barton, there isn't any other offense on that team. I look for them to struggle against Whitley on Dec.14. Unless the jackets can get production from anyone other then Jones and Barton there going to be in a lot of trouble this season.

I watched Willaimsburg play Knox Central the other day at The arena in Corbin and they didn't look good at all. It may of just been nerves or first game jitters, but they have some serious problems they need to fix. Lowrie did not play well on defense and Jones didn't play well on offense. I thought Smoak played a good game overall as well did Barton.

The jackets caught a couple of bad calls during the game and in my opinion they out played fairveiw. A couple of Powers picks hurt them exspecially the last one late. But the jackets battled there hearts out and everyone from williamsburg should be proud. Also good luck to fairveiw and congrats on the win.

Whitley is by far the strongest team in that district this year. I don't see anyone stopping Akins or Petrey.

I agree with Commander 25 its a very tough 50th district. WIlliamsburg is always up and down but if theres ever going to be a year that Williamsburg has a chance to win 2 or even 3 district games then this is the year to do it. They have one of the best players in the region the Jones kid and if he can rally his teammates around him then I look for Williamsburg to finally beat South and maybe Corbin, but if its going to be a one man show like a couple years ago with Cunningham then were gonna see a very talented Wburg team not reach its full potential.

There's a very good chance Fairview blows this team out of the water. Everyone of my posts have been on Williamsburg's side because I always love the underdog. This week im just not so sure on how Williamsburg will play. If J.P. Payne doesnt have a good game I dont think the Burg has a chance. Last Year Fairview knocked Williamsburg out of the playoffs and for Williamsburg fans and cnc78 your Jackets are going to have to play a near perfect game for that not to happen again.

Williamsburg played really well. I was suprised NCHS didn't come out and play better. Jerry Herron has some work to do this week getting ready for Fairview. Fairview is dang good but in my opinion so is Williamsburg

Tonight will be a really close match up and i dont think anyone will win big. Nicholas County is very talented and have some guys that I really dont think Williamsburg can handle. We can go back and fourth all day about how good Wburg is but I would say 3rd in the district this year from what I've heard WCHS Isn't that great so I think with Steven Taylor and CJ Jones this might be a great team...When do they play Jellico?
