Williamsburg vs. Lynn Camp

Featured Replies

Dec 21st, I heard on the radio that the Jackets took out a talented Lynn Camp team by 5+, does anyone know? How did both teams look?

I think W'Burg won by eight or so. The game should not have been this close. The officiating may have been the worst I have ever witnessed. In my opinion, the Jackets are 15-20 points better than Lynn Camp. Lynn Camp got 41 from Waggoner. Waggoner is very talented but also gets away with a lot of pushing and shoving off down low in order to get open.

As far as how the teams looked, in my opinion, Lynn Camp doesn't look all that great. Like I said earlier, Waggoner is extremely talented, but the only other talent they have on the team is #3. Not sure of his name. Other than that, the Wildcats are not holding that much. On the flip side, W'burg is slowly coming around. I think everyone is getting more comfortable and accepting their roles. Team defense could stand to improve quite a bit. When the Jackets have the lineup of Hoffman, Barton, Payne, Jones, and Smoak playing together they really seem to get things rolling. Each of these players is capable of creating matchup problems for most of the teams they will face. This W'burg squad is much more athletic than any they've had in quite some time. Time will tell just how good they can be, but they have the talent in their top 6 or 7 to play with anyone in the region. They may have some nights where they don't look like it, but if this team can improve on the defensive end and get consistent effort from everyone, they could possibly make some noise.

Personally I thought the Wburg could have won by more, but a win is a win. Wburg will surprise some people this year with their quickness and they are really playing good as a team, something they haven't done in the past. As for LC, new coach, but they have Tyler back and he scored a very quiet 40 points that night. But her has to have some help IMO. Siler, #14, is just a jr. but I believe by the end of the year he and Tyler be the heart of that team.
