In a battle of very similar teams, Leslie county travels to the Burg Friday night for the Alumni Bowl at Rose Stanfill Stadium. The Young Jackets had a very workmanlike win over Pineville 40-0 last week. The freshman class continues to grow and develop and is impressive. Leslie is also 2-1 coming to town and has looked good of late. This game may take 4 hours with both teams running spread offenses. More later in the week, but for now, who's your pick?

If a moderator could put this into a poll it would be greatly appreciated!

This Leslie Co. Tean is 2-1, very easly could be 3-0 if hadn't had to play 3rd string QB in opening game. Leslie Co, has a lot of Sr.'s and kids who have played 4 years now. I look for a good Game. Still give Burg the nod 35-28. Score could be higher than that.

Got to see Leslie on film and they are very similar to Williamsburg in offensive style. The running back #26 I think, runs hard and downhill, the QB appears mobile and pretty accurate. They also have some nice receivers, was impressed with the way 82 comes back for the ball. This will be a tough game for the Young Jackets, as Leslie has alot of upperclassmen. Williamsburg does appear to have more speed, but Leslie has to have the experience edge....more later!

I heard today that talented Fr. WR Corey Shelton had a appendectomy and will be out of action for a few weeks for the Jackets...We wish Corey a speedy recovery...

Wow this hurts...Hopefully the Jackets can pull through and hang tough. I felt before this that the Burg would win by 14, but now I have to say this is a toss up...Hope the Jackets can tough it out...Jacket Pride!!

Hang tough Corey, best wishes for a fast recovery

Heard about the Shelton kid. Very sorry to hear for him and that family. I know Williamsburg will have him in their hearts friday night and it is going to be very hard to be a team that has something to really play for. I usually have something to say about both teams in my predictions but I truely feel sorry for Leslie County friday night. Williamsburg 42 Leslie Co. 20

Freshman Griffith will have a huge game along with little brother Lowrie.

Prediction time..a day late lol...The Jackets face a bit of adversity losing Shelton, but I think Coach Herron and staff have a few things up their collective sleeves this week. As always, going with my big orange heart and expecting it to be close for awhile, but then the Jackets to pull away in the 4th 34- 20...Jacket Pride!
