Should be a good game. Its been long time since Hoptown has seen a true veer option team. Midline, inside and outside veer with multiple formations... pretty neat stuff.

This was the surprise of the week in WKY. Taking nothing away form Henderson but BG has destroyed everybody in WKY the last several years. By Henderson winning this adds confidence to several teams in region 1 that they can come out of the West this year and make it to the finial four. This has to b the best win for Hendersons program in several years.

I was not there but Christian County down by 34-14 on the road at Owensbore scoring 28 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to win the district championship has to rank up high on the list.

Hoptown defense has improved alot since Highlands. Playing U guys made us a better team and have not lost since then. You never know they might meet again this year if we get a little lucky. Keep up the good work you guys are on a different level then the rest of 5A.

RoadRunner you have seen both Central and Hoptown compare the athletes for me. Who gave you guys more trouble?

Good effort by Lincoln tonight. Thought their kids played hard and well as they could. Tuff season with alot of bad luck with key players getting hurt early in the season. Hoptown played well at times and cruised late with alot of kids playing that usually dont see much action. QB Marshall Stewart continues to play well throwing for 214 yards with 3 tds and rushed for 72 yards. WR Victor Moulden had seven catches for 120 yards and two scores. Moulden who went for over 1,000 yards for the season also broke the schools record for career receiving yards breaking Cody Adams record. Hoptown plays Grayson County next week at Grayson. The winner should play Christian County in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Hoptown needs to stay focus on Grayson who seems to be scoring alot of points of late.

Nope Fort Campbell is still the king untill somebody in 2A beats them. Andrews (qb) is also their leading rusher and will be back a full strength for the playoffs. Still surprise they lost but different team when Andrews is playing.

Hoptown gave Lincoln all they wanted last year with Lincoln come out on top. The Tigers had around 350 total yards of offense but were picked off twice for two touchdowns. Don't see that happening this time around. Hoptown 52 Lincoln 12.

Why all the hatered for Jaggers? The man took Mercer to the state title weather it was watered are down or not. Mercer has never been known as a football school.

Good job Madisonville. Good win over a good program.

How can Mercer be head of Hopkinsville when the tigers beat them at Mercer.

Hoptown had zero turnovers. Mercer run defense was very good.

Big win for Hoptown. The Yeast kid was the best back Hoptown seen all year and that includes Banks from Christian County. Stronger runner than expected. Great game from Hoptowns QB Marshall Stewart 18 out of 22 for 262 yards 3TD and two running. Hoptown receivers riped the Titans all night. Both Derick Dillard(10) and Victor Moulden(3)were making big plays all night. Victor Moulden proved he is one if not the best receiver in the state. Going in to the game he was leading receiver in 5A, had around 150 yards last night. Marshall Stewart was 3rd in 5A in passing yards per game. Good luck to Mercer County the rest of the season you guys have a fine ball club.

just for fun- who do you think would beat Hoptown by 40 or more in the west. BG is the class of the west with Owensbore being 2nd. The Tigers gave the red devils all they wanted and out gained them by 100 yards. They also had more yards than Christian County. I think its very possible that Hoptown could make a good run in the playoffs and play toe toe with Bowling Green if and when the Tigers defense shows up.

Hoptown needs to hold on the ball. They are averaging well over 300 yards a game but fumbles and tip balls being pick off are killing them. If we can take care of the ball it could be a competitive game. Hoptown outplayed Owensbore but two times the tigers turn it over on tip balls that should have been caught one should have been an easy touchdown. The tigers are looking forward to the challenge and expect to play good. I hope all the Highlands fans who are traveling down have a safe trip and enjoy their stay in Hopkinsville. The Stadium of Champions is one of the top football stadiums in the state and the playing surface is top notch.
