Hopkinsville 34 Lincoln County 14

Final.

Lincoln County's worst win-loss record (1-9) in the school's 35 seasons.

Its time to get in the weight room and get bigger stronger and faster. Coach needs to start beating the hallways and get those numbers up for next year. Way to low for a 5-A school. If anybody can get it done coach Settles can, good luck in your off season program.

Hoptown continues to take care of biz

Good effort by Lincoln tonight. Thought their kids played hard and well as they could. Tuff season with alot of bad luck with key players getting hurt early in the season.

Hoptown played well at times and cruised late with alot of kids playing that usually dont see much action. QB Marshall Stewart continues to play well throwing for 214 yards with 3 tds and rushed for 72 yards. WR Victor Moulden had seven catches for 120 yards and two scores. Moulden who went for over 1,000 yards for the season also broke the schools record for career receiving yards breaking Cody Adams record.

Hoptown plays Grayson County next week at Grayson. The winner should play Christian County in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Hoptown needs to stay focus on Grayson who seems to be scoring alot of points of late.

Is it true Lincoln didnt play a freshman schedule last year and cancelled their JV team midway through the season? If so, I think you may be seeing the results this year.

It is true that Lincoln didn't play a freshmen schedule they didn't have enough freshmen come out to have a frosh team. It is not true that Lincoln cancelled the JV season, they played in 4 or 5 JV games but had 4 games inside their JV conference cancel games against them. Not much you can do on a days notice to pick up games.

This season is the result of bad luck, several times this season they had to play with 5 or more returning upper classmen injured, and had to play the entire season without their top linemen in Tre Owsley due to an injury. They also had their leading rusher from the previous year get kicked off the team due to some offseason reasons.

Thanks for the info CoachJr

For whatever the reasons, Lincoln played 3 JV games last year and no freshman games..........

If you really want to blame the season on that go ahead. IMO Lincoln's season was just bad luck with injuries. When a senior gets injured and you have to replace him with a freshman or a soph., it's never good. PATS work hard in the offseason and get back on top!

CoachJr. Do you have any info on how the middle school did this year and how was there numbers as far as how many kids came out.

Not too sure on the numbers they had in middle school but they do have one or two real nice athletes coming up. The 8th grade team didn't make their playoffs, I'm not sure how the 7th grade team ended up.
