  1. Westsider- What do you think about hoptown this year?
  2. Thumbs up for the Tigers offensive line. Thought they looked good and will only get better. Paducah will be a load this year for anybody and will have a legit shot at winning a state title this year. They are fast and fly to the ball. Once they get everything in with the new coaching staff I look for them to get better as the season goes on.
  3. Christian had their way with them and started but in their 2nd and 3rd teamers while Calloway had their starters in. Still though BG is the team to beat in the west. Christian will have the most talented team in the west but that does not always get you to the carpet.
  4. Hoptown has Outside LB that has been getting alot of attention lately. Derrick Dillard 6'2 195Lbs 4.6 forty also starts at Wr. This guy is a hitting machine. Played Safety but moved to OLB this year as he got bigger. Brother started and was the team caption of Alabama for two years in the late 1990's. Has around 3.0 grade avarage and is a great kid.
  5. Hoptown will Scr. Paducah this Friday night 7:00 at paducah. Both teams had teams back out at last moment and agreed to play this Friday. There will be alot of speed from both teams on display. Should B fun!!
  6. west- Pinner is with the Lions. He is currently 2nd string and is looking forward playing more this year than years past.
  7. Good job BGP. I hope Highlands throws the ball as much as they say. Don't think John Hardin is the new king of of the west not yet. I think Hoptown is rank about right coming off 4-6 record. Don't think Homes could beat them or Warren Central who lost to them pretty good last year. Over all job well done.
  8. Paducah might be scary this year. Could be the fastest team in the state.
  9. 1. Highlands 2. John Hardin 3. BG 4. Cov. Cath 5. Hoptown 6. Christian County 7. Dixie Heights 8. Owensbore 9. Lincoln County 10. Mercer County
  10. SOPH 6'2 210LBS RB JEREMY COLEMAN HOPKINSVILLE: Jeremy started the last game of the year in the first round against Christian County. He rushed for over 100 yards 1 TD and two called back. This kid will be the next great back at Hoptown. Laser timed in the forty at 4.63 and has the body frame to add 20-30 pounds before his senior year. UK has already been looking at his film against county and have came by twice to talk to him. The only draw back is AAU coaches have him beliving that he will be a big time power forward in college. This kept him away from the weights this spring and summer. Hopefully he will realize that football will be his meal ticket and play basketball only during the season.
  11. 1984 4A State Championship Game Christian County vs Ballard. Christian County wins and becomes the only school to win the 4A title twice outside Louisville.
  12. The purples line did have some break downs but Lexington Catholic sent more then Lone Oak could block. This happen throughout the game. Robinson was running for his life. A spread offense is tough to defend and was tailored man for the kid. Catholic came in with the mind set that they were going to get pressure on Robinson and they did. Sometimes you need a TE or RB to stay in to give your QB and chance to set his feet and see the field. Alot of people who saw Robinson play that day were saying they thought he was over-rated but I believe the kid is special and will have a great college career.
  13. Ft. Campbell is the team to beat in the west for sure but Trigg County has more talent and should be a handful for anybody. I was surprise that they struggled at the end of the year and how bad Ft. Campbell beat them last year.
  14. From an outsider looking in at the 97 Highlands team was the play of their LBers and their O-line. Both groups were outstanding. Might of been one of the better set of LBs I've seen in a long time. Aggressive and smart. Their O-line would blow people up at the point of attack. It can't be easy to replace those studs that are now gone. Or can it?
  15. I look for Hopkinsville to turn their first loosing season since 97 to being one of the better teams in WKY. They return their starting QB, both of their RBs and their top two WRs from last season. Victor Moulden returns at SE who had over 400 receiving the last two games of the season. Big time player who is one of the better Wrs in the state. On Defense they have 9 starters back who started 3 or more games. The tigers are in a tuff district with Owensbore and Christian County. Christian returns a solid team back with many returning players. The Red Devils lost alot but coach Prince will have his team ready to play.
  16. BG is the top dog in the west untill somebody knocks them off. The last team in the west that beat them was Madisonville. Christian County is big and have one of the better RBs in the west. They do give up alot of points however. Hopkinsville who beat Christian in the regular season but lost in a shoot out return most of their starters back on both sides of the ball. Both of these teams should beat Owensbore this season. BG will be a tuff out but will not be as talented as they have the past three years. Don't know much about JH but their program has been very competitive the last couple of years.
