This whole "drops" thing is a bunch of hogwash anyway. He's got 9, while Keenan Allen and Robbie Anderson each have 7. Chase averages 18.1 yards per catch, while Allen is 10.9, and Anderson is 10.2. Chase has 13 TD's, while Allen and Anderson have 7 each. We're going to throw a fit over 2 extra drops?!? Heck, Tyreek Hill has 6 drops and 9 TD's, and he's a guy every dang team would want to have on their squad. A mountain being made out of a mole hill.

I've come up with scenarios where the Bengals could literally play any potential wildcard team. But, if the favorites win next week in the AFC, the Bengals would be a 4 seed, and host New England. If they win, and everyone else stays the same, they'd move up a spot and host Indy. And, if they win, and all the other favorites hold serve, but the Raiders beat the Charges...Cincy would remain at #3, and host the Raiders.

Anyone surprised that the Chiefs didn't just let the Bengals score when they got first and goal inside the 1? I honestly thought they may pull Burrow into the endzone on that first QB dive.

Saw a doctor reviewing a report out of South Africa that said the antibodies from the vaccines may not be as effective in preventing Omicron. But, that the T-cells generated from any of the 3 vaccines or previous infection, were still 70-80% effective. According to him, that would explain why just about everyone could get Omicron, but that the effects of it could be negligible. Said that's why it's still worthwhile to get the vaccine.

Was trying to figure out who the Bengals might end up facing, and there's just too many variables. I've come across chances to face New England, Indianapolis and the winner of the Raiders/Chargers. The only scenarios that I haven't come across is facing either Buffalo or Baltimore.

Heck, if you're going to go that route, why not just forfeit the game to the Browns. Give everybody an extra week of rest.

As a division winner, they would host the first round game, regardless of the opponent.

Looks like the best they can be is #3. Obviously it doesn't matter what Titans and/or Chiefs do, since they're already a game ahead of them. So, then it comes down to Buffalo and New England. If Buffalo and New England both win...Bengals are #4 If Buffalo wins and New England loses...Bengals are #4 If Buffalo loses and New England wins...Bengals are #4 If Buffalo loses and New England both lose...Bengals are #3.

Playing with the NFL Playoff Machine, it looks like the Bengals could get the #1 seed with 2 scenarios... 1) Bengals win, Chiefs lose, Titans lose, Buffalo wins 2) Bengals win, Chiefs lose, Titans lose, New England loses Basically, the Bengals win a 3-way tiebreaker against the Chiefs and Titans, a 4-way tiebreaker involving the Chiefs/Titans/Bills, and a 5-way tiebreaker with the Chiefs/Titans/Bills/Patriots all being 11-6. However, they would slide to #2 if the 4-way was the Chiefs/Titans/Patriots.

If you want to go see a professional sports team play, the MLB experience is still the cheapest, and in some instances, by a lot. From what I've been able to see for the big four, here's what a family of four could expect to spend at a game in 2021... NFL: $568.18 NHL: exact number unknown, but all sites indicated it to be significantly higher than NBA/MLB NBA: $290.12 MLB: $253 This is just where we're at these days. Any professional sport is expensive to see in person. MLB is suffering, but it's not because it simply outpriced the rest of the market.

Between yesterday's Ohio State game and today's Bengals' game, I feel like I've taken 2 stress tests. And I've used up all my favors from the Lord for the entire year in just the first 2 days.

Okay, I will readily admit I did not read the original post correctly, of who deserves to be #3. In that Instance, a case can be made for Cincinnati. However, I don't see the committee improving their ranking, even though they lost. And I don't see how Michigan drops just one spot, when they looked totally lost in their game. So, just based off of who was where, and whether they won or not, I think there's a possibility that Ohio State climbs up 2 spots to fill the void. That's all. We can disagree with it as far as saying whether or not they deserve it. But I can see it happening.

Wow, what a game. Super props to the Utah offense...they came to play. And what a couple of performances by CJ and Jaxson for the Bucks...unstoppable.

With the comeback by the Buckeyes, I think they'll claim the #3 spot.

Barring a comeback by Ohio State against Utah, it won't surprise me one bit if Oklahoma State ends up at #3.

Prior to covid, we try to make a trip a couple times each year up to Columbus to see them there. Still several from the Newport cast performing.

Madden grew on me over the years. Initially, I thought he was a clown. As I got older, I grew to understand his antics were just his way of expressing his passion for the sport he loved. I'm glad he was able to see the special Fox did on him that aired this past weekend, to know just how much of an impact he had on people in the game. RIP Coach.

Only went to Gameworks a couple of times over the years. Most of the time we went to either Mitchell's Fish Market or Shadowbox when they were there.

About 2 decades ago, I was with a high school team playing down in Miami, and they were being given a tour of that area of town (on school bus) and we drove by a fantastic looking baseball field and an amazing press box. It actually looked like it could've been a minor league field. The guy giving the tour said it was a high school's (don't remember if it was theirs or not), but that it was going to have to be torn down. The reason? A donor had given a massive contribution to the baseball boosters, but the school didn't have the same amount of money to put towards a girls' program. So, to make things "equal", they had to "take away" from the boys.

Is that when Vrabel left and took the Texans job?

Waaaay too many songs that I like to try and pick my favorites, although just about anything sung by Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams or Amy Grant gets turned up just a little louder. Two songs that I have come to HATE, though, are easy... Baby It's Cold Outside...sung by anyone. Waaay over-played. My Favorite Things. IT.IS.NOT.A.CHRISTMAS.SONG!!!

In all honesty, other than the games in which they play each other (and there HAS to be a winner), I'm not too sure about anyone else in the division winning those other two games. The Ravens against the Packers and Rams? Could easily be 2 losses. The Browns you would think be favored against the Raiders this Saturday, but are dealing with Covid issues. And then they have to play Aaron Rodgers in Lambeau. No thank you. Heck, I think if the Steelers were to beat the Browns and Ravens to end the year, they might be the ones sitting in the catbird's seat, and that stinkin' tie up in Detroit could actually come into play.

With our offense, I'm not concerned about someone being a true threat to return one. What I want...scratch that...need...is someone to recognize the situation. Is it a line drive kick? Is it a hanger? Did he boom one? Where are you set up at to begin with? We need a smart decision maker. On kickoffs, it seems like we've brought kicks out and barely make it to the 15. Given that we don't have a Devon Hester back there, you need to be sure you're going to get to the 25. No need to force something that isn't there. And then add in the factor of a flag possibly being thrown on a return. I'm fine with downing every kickoff and taking it at the 25. And on punting, the decision making has seemed iffy as well. It seems like far too often we've had punts fair caught not only inside the 10, but at the 5. Fair caught! Why?!? It's one thing if you're going to return it...but, to do a fair catch? I just don't understand it. Now is this on the player, or Simmons, or even Taylor? I don't know. But, the player is the only one that touches the ball, so even the best coaching in the world can't actually make the play. The Bengals return team needs to have the same mantra as doctors have...do no harm. Yesterday that was magnified by the muffs, but it's not something that's come out of nowhere this season.
