The Bengals fresh off  the AFC North Title travel up to Cleveland to take on the Browns who with a win vs the Steelers could still have a shot at the playoffs. The kickoff is at 1:00pm on CBS.

Browns are officially eliminated! I think the Bengals should rest their key players for this game.

The Bengals could I think move up as high as the #2 seed with a win and a Chiefs loss vs. Denver.

Playing with the NFL Playoff Machine, it looks like the Bengals could get the #1 seed with 2 scenarios...

1) Bengals win, Chiefs lose, Titans lose, Buffalo wins

2) Bengals win, Chiefs lose, Titans lose, New England loses

Basically, the Bengals win a 3-way tiebreaker against the Chiefs and Titans, a 4-way tiebreaker involving the Chiefs/Titans/Bills, and a 5-way tiebreaker with the Chiefs/Titans/Bills/Patriots all being 11-6.  However, they would slide to #2 if the 4-way was the Chiefs/Titans/Patriots.

Thanks for that, what if the Bengals lose to the Browns?

Looks like the best they can be is #3.  Obviously it doesn't matter what Titans and/or Chiefs do, since they're already a game ahead of them.  So, then it comes down to Buffalo and New England.

If Buffalo and New England both win...Bengals are #4

If Buffalo wins and New England loses...Bengals are #4

If Buffalo loses and New England wins...Bengals are #4

If Buffalo loses and New England both lose...Bengals are #3.

So in short, a loss probably means they go on the road in round one and a win means they play at home in round one.

Would fall to 4 unless both the Bills and Pats lost too. Chances of moving to 1 are slim. The difference between 3 and 4 isn’t to big in my opinion. I much rather them rest their key guys and have them healthy for the playoffs.
