  1. Ewwww. I can't even imagine that stuff full strength. Mine was bad enough when I happened to burp an hour or two after taking it. 🤢
  2. Heart health is usually the main reason a lot of people take it. Can help with BP, cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. I took it for awhile, but stopped because of a fishy "aftertaste" every now and then. (See the earlier post about "good" versus "cheap" supplements.) I switched to Krill Oil afterwards (mainly the same benefits, but have not had any bad aftertaste). Ran out of it, and haven't gotten any to replace it. This is a good reminder.
  3. Three matchups that I'm interested in watching are... Isaiah Prince head-to-head vs. Maxx Crosby Bengals DB's/Safeties vs. Darren Waller Bengals DB's vs. Hunter Renfrow It may be an overly simplistic view, but if the Bengals can win 2 of these 3, I like their chances.
  4. Jerome Boger has been named as the referee for Saturday's game. This year, home teams went 8-8, with him as their ref. Since 2018, the Raiders are 8-5 with him, while the Bengals are 5-8.
  5. Gotcha. My doctor said I needed to make sure to take the K along with it, otherwise it could increase my chances at having kidney stones (again). Something about the K helping funnel the calcium to the bones instead of elsewhere.
  6. Just curious, were you not told to take Vitamin K along with the D?
  7. Was just trying to compare what the Bengals have versus what the Chargers brought to the table last night. QB - Burrow vs Herbert RB - Mixon vs Eckler WR's - Chase/Higgins/Boyd vs. Williams/Allen/Guyton TE - Uzomah vs Cook And, just on paper, you'd have to say the Bengals match up very favorably. Now, I realize that this isn't Stratomatic, and that there's a lot of other factors that can come into play. I certainly don't think it'll be good if Burrow drops back to pass 64 times, but on the other hand, I hope Taylor doesn't get too conservative with the run.
  8. I know that they said, at the time, he'd technically be able to come back for the Cleveland game. But, they said the ankle had been getting worse, not better, and expected him to miss the final 4 games. Now, that was a month ago...so, don't know how things have progressed/regressed since then.
  9. Lowest Wonderlic scores in NFL history 6 — Vince Young (quarterback) Coming off a National Championship at Texas, expectations were high for Young coming into the league, though some were concerned about his low Wonderlic score. Still, the Titans gambled on him by taking him third overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. The gamble didn't pay off, though. In six seasons, Young threw 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions. 6 — Frank Gore (running back) Gore's poor Wonderic score might have had a negative impact on his draft stock, as he was selected 65th overall in the third round by the 49ers in 2005. It doesn't look like it ever affected his productivity, though; he's accumulated 15,347 yards and 79 touchdowns in 15 seasons. He currently stands third in all-time rushing yards in NFL history, just 290 yards behind Walter Payton. 6 — Oscar Davenport (quarterback) Davenport was projected to be a late-round prospect with developmental upside in 1999. Then the North Carolina QB scored a 6 on his Wonderlic test and went undrafted, never making it onto an NFL roster. 5 — Ed Prather (safety) Another player who never played a down in the NFL, "Pig" Prather had a bad reputation for blowing coverages, and to NFL GMs, his poor Wonderlic scores seemed to reflect poor decision-making skills on the field as he went undrafted in 2001. 4 — Darren Davis (running back) Davis rushed for 3,763 yards in four seasons at Iowa State. Then he scored a 4 on the Wonderlic exam at the 2000 NFL Combine and went undrafted, eventually going on to play four seasons in the Canadian Football League before being cut.
  10. And @Bluegrasscard, I just re-read my post, and don't want it to come off as a personal attack on you. We all have our experiences, and I wasn't trying to de-value or discount yours. It's just that your response sounded very similar to part of the discussion held here at work over the past couple of weeks after those 3 got sick. Some wanted to say that was a model for the remaining 300 million in the country, which, to me, is absurd. Again, my apologies.
  11. In just the past month, I've had co-workers who've been vaccinated AND had their booster shot, who still got Covid. Both of them were pretty bad, and were sick for 2 weeks. Another co-worker got it at the same time, who was unvaccinated, and never had any symptoms. So, the moral is...you're better off without the vaccine, right? I've heard stories like that, forever. For instance, I can't tell you how many times I've heard something to the extent of "My grandma smoked two packs of cigarettes a week for 75 years, never got cancer and died from old age when she was 92." Or, "I was in a car accident, and the trooper said if I had been wearing my seat-belt, I would've been cut in two." Some people like to take the exception to the rule, and make it the rule. So, to counter your experience, I'll tell you mine...the only people that I have known, personally, to have died from Covid...have all been unvaccinated. That's the only stat that I'm concerned about at this point. I wish we could have a ticker on the TV screen that showed deaths by the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated. Update it each day like they do sports scores or the stock market. But, I guess, why bother? People will want to hang on to their exceptions.
  12. Seeing Greg McElroy, Blaine Gabbert and Sean Mannion in the top 10 tells you all you need to know about how it translates to play on the field.
  13. So former Bengal Pat McInally will forever be alone at the top, as the only player with a perfect score, right? (Or has someone joined him in that position in recent years?)
  14. I think that there's still a battle at #2 per se, but there's not a lot of shots still being fired. Pretty much everybody has declared what side they're on, and dug their heels in. I think the biggest battle that's being waged right now, is #3. I know that's where my wife and I are at (and are different sides).
  15. Add Joe Mixon to the Covid list. If there's ever a week to have it, this is it.
  16. Former Bengal defensive end Ross Browner has died from complications of Covid after battling the illness for a month. He was 67. Bengals great Ross Browner Passes Away At 67 Browner was among the first Bengals that I rooted for, along with others mentioned in the article...him, Eddie Edwards, Reggie Williams, Louis Breeden, etc. He's fifth on the team in all-time sacks. RIP Ross.
  17. Yeah, just looking at Ohio State...while they lose a couple of talented wide receivers, they still get JSN back along with a couple of other rising stars, to go with Stroud and Henderson. The offense shouldn't lose a beat. And with a new D-coordinator, you have to expect that side of the ball to be MUCH improved over last year. And you couple all of that with the fact that Michigan State didn't have the fall off this year everyone expected. So, if Mel Tucker is truly the man to turn around Sparty...Harbaugh's looking at fighting a war on two fronts.
  18. Saw a couple of articles online about this possibility this morning, and then the talking heads on ESPN have picked it up and ran with it. So, thought I'd pose it here, too. Obviously Harbaugh going from Michigan to the NFL is a completely different scenario than Urban Meyer's, as he's already been a head coach for the 49'ers. So, I don't see the hesitancy in an NFL offering him (as a college coach) a job. The two teams that have been mentioned are Chicago and Las Vegas. I could definitely see the Chicago job being attractive for multiple reasons. One, is he's familiar with the city and the organization, as the Bears are who drafted him out of college. Two, he'd have Justin Fields, who fits into the same type of mold that he's already had success with, in Colin Kaepernick. Third, he's proven he can beat Ohio State now, and took his team to the playoffs...so those monkeys are off of his back. The Raiders are, well, the Raiders and have their own set of attractions. So, does Harbaugh leave for the NFL this year?
  19. What's your feeling on how things transpired in Pittsburgh? On one hand, you (the Browns) can't say you're limiting Chubb because of all the wear and tear from the season, and on the other hand, have Baker out there getting drilled when you know for a fact how injured he already is. From an outsider's point of view, that whole situation was just bizarre. I felt like Stefanski had picked up a beater (Baker) off of Craigslist for a demolition derby and was going to drive it til the wheels fell off or the engine blew up. Seemed like he cared 0% for Baker's well-being (long term or short term) that night. All of this while Chubb was averaging 5 yards a carry.
  20. I don't know who Derek Thompson is, but he hit the nail on the head with those three battles.
