What is wrong with M'boro they have so much talent. I thought they would be able to play with Corbin, Clay and South this season.

I think Clark will help the Bears on "D" maybe @ a outside LB. The RB depth chart looks strong to me (Green, Smith, Taylor, McMillion). I think the big question @ RB will be finding a FB that can take Roberts place.

One thing you have to look @ is Cox played on better teams than Mcbee. He is the total team focus every game.

Talent @ Harlan and other small schools goes in cycles. You have a good class and then it may skip a class or two. Harlan should have the kids to win the district next year, with Hazard being hit hard with graduation. I would like to see the Carr kid @ QB and let Pennington go back to FB. It will not matter who is @ QB if they can not find a weapon @ WR like Hensley was the past two years. Look for Coach Donahue to run the ball early and often again next season.

What is the point of playing the regular season district games?

Harlan Co. should have one of the best O-lines in the mountains. I would also love to see TJ Green get 15 to 20 carries a game. He has never played a full season @ TB.

If Corbin makes it to the Sweet 16, they have a good chance @ making a run to the finals. They have the talent to play with any of the regions in the upper bracket.

I would not say they blocked out good because most of the Bears points came off second shots. Clay beat Harlan Co. because they have 5 or 6 guys who can score off the dribble. They may be a little better than even Corbin in this area.

1. Corbin- They have 4 players that can score 20 or more on any night. Then you add the big kid in the middle who can rebound and defend. 2. Clay Co.- Has very good talent and 3 solid guards. The best three guards Clay has had on a team in many years. 3. South L.- Recent Tradition, and the best big man in Eastern Ky. 4. Knox Central- Has the best one on one player in the region. 5. M'boro- They have as much talent as anyone in the region. They have three very solid players. 6. Bell Co.- They have a solid veteran team. 7. Whitley Co. 8. Harlan Co. 9. Pineville 10. W'burg

This is the best Corbin Team I have seen in many years. Maybe the best talent they have had since Coach P. Played. I think the big difference between this Corbin team and recent Corbin teams is they play good half court "D". In the past if you made Corbin play a half court game 8 out of 10 games you may have came out on top. That is not the case this season. Corbin plays very good half court man "D" this year.

Based on talent alone Scott Co. should win big.

I think Lester and Blanton played on the last really good team to play in the 13th in 96. That team was not loaded with talent. They played hard and played as a team.

M'boro is not deep, but they have 3 very good players. My 13th region top teams 1. Corbin 2. Clay Co. 3. South L. 4. Knox 5. M'boro 6. Bell 7. Whitley 8. Harlan Co 9. Pineville 10. W'burg

The All "A" Classic was as good or better than the sweet 16 in the early to mid 90's. You had Harlan, Lex. Cath., and UHA. All three of these teams could play with anyone in the state @ that time. I am glad to see the All "A" getting back to having some very solid teams. This should be one of the best in recent years, with teams like Hazard, Elliot, and Shelby Valley.

I can remember in the early to mid 90's the 13th you had Harlan High, Corbin, Clay, Knox, and Cumberland. That was two teams in the top 5 from Harlan Co. Cawood was very solid in those years also with Smallwood, and Hicks.:thumb:

M'boro has more talent than Bell and Harlan Co. M'boro has 3 very solid players. Bell Co. has better guard play than Harlan Co. but Harlan Co. may have a edge on the boards. This should be a fun district to watch. Harlan City has the edge of playing on home court.

I do not think Corbin under Hicks beat a Harlan team coached by Jones.:confused:

Does Danville still play in the Class "A"

Bell Co. seems to beat M'boro every year. I will go with Bell Co.

HC missed a lot of easy shots, but played solid "D" like they do every night.
