My second thought exactly when I first saw the schedule. My first thought though was NCC on the schedule four times, and a potential fifth time if the Indians advance out of the first round of the "A" to play NCC. That's what I found odd.

I want to agree with that statement, but lack of varsity experience is certainly going to be the biggest issue with that team. Yet they do have a deep pitching staff and if Roenker can come back 100 percent by the "A", then yes, I think they have a legitimate shot.

Holy Cross is to have pitchers and catchers report tomorrow.... in the gym.

I've heard nothing but good things about Tiberi. He'll most likely bypass the freshman level and move right on to JV. Could even see some Varsity playing time.

Is this the Johnson that played with Meyerhoff over the summer?

Along with Nick Ritter who hit clean up for Meyerhoff's team this summer. But I agree hitting is a question mark. Kyle Fuller and Rob Broering are solid hitters too though.

What makes Beechwood a top 10 team?

He is playing baseball.

Larrimore from Beechwood is top 3 IMO if he plays this year.

I think it would be accurate in saying the game was not as close as the score indicates. Pohlgeers and Hall combined to hit 3 desperation 3's within the last two minutes. And if Holy Cross shoots better than 50 percent from the line, they win by 15.

Agree, but he is great at both. I don't think Beechwood will be bad by any means, but I can't see them getting out of districts this year. Who knows though.

He did have surgery and from what I know is going to try and walk on UC next year. That means he will pitch this year for HC, but will only throw in "bigger games" such as district seeding and All A tourney.

I really look for Holy Cross to have one of the better pitching staffs in the region. With Roenker, Fuller, Ritter, Johnson, Egan, Boering, and Jehn I think they will be talented and deep.

I'm excited to see what Hensley can do in high school. I know he's played summer ball each of the last two seasons. Any idea what's kept him from playing school ball?

He coached at Holy Cross after coach Dave Reynolds retired. He had some talented teams and I beleive went to state semi's the year he took the HC job. I'm not too sure what style of play he runs though..

They don't redshirt but have 5 year seniors instead.

HC is in the top 7 IMO.
