Everyone knows this is going to be a shootout, so the QB in a pass happy Indian offense, is pretty vital and is the prime athlete on the field; so that is a pretty big asset. HC's wide outs (as you mentioned) are better. I just think in this kind of game those groups of players are the best things a team can have because big plays are going to fuel this game. NCC has Kelly and the kid is a stud. I think he is the equalizer in this one. Hightchew will probably be less than effective if he's not running the ball. But, nonetheless, each team has the players to win the game..

I'm going to be quite honest, I have never seen the kid play. So my question is what is his playing style? Is he fast (can't imagine if he's 6'5'' 225)? Strong arm? From the looks of this article he isn't even playing QB yet.

McClendon is in fact enrolled at HC and is participating in team workouts. As for above comments about why--maybe there are more elements to a young highschooler transferring SCHOOLS then just what style the basketball teams play...

Warning gave up three I beleive, then Shumate came in and got hit pretty hard, then finally Bruggeman (sp?) came in.

Holy Cross played the all "A" regional final last year there under the lights and they were fine.

Blake IS leaps and bounds beyond any upper classmen, smooth in the field, strokes the ball, and has only struck out once; in addition has a grandslam. All doing this as a freshmen... BTW is 5-1 pitching i believe.

Many showed up to tonight's titanic struggle, as Mieken was packed. A great overall game that showcased two outstanding pitchers battle. It was the arm of Adam Warning though that out dueled Nick Ritter, along with the bat of Stayten and great overall defense by the boys in blue. HC needs to keep their heads up though, they played a heck of a game and a break here or there and they win. Jasper, the young man hitting, proceeds to hit a fly ball to center which would have scored the runner on 3rd easily. In the Bottom of the 6th, Blake Tiberi rips a double to deep right-center, Broering on 1st is waved all the way home to be canned, at the mercy of a great rely from Logan Seimer, by 20 feet. Instead on 2nd and 3rd one out, man on 2nd two out. Two huge plays that really impacted this game. Overall though it was the Colonels that won this game. They deserved to win, great game. :thumb:

Only a 40% chance for thunderstorms tomorrow along with a high of 85. If it doesn't rain too much more today I would say the game is going to be on.

I would venture to say Gerwe will pitch against the Indians.
