Holy Cross vs. Beechwood - Predictions - (2nd game on 5/24) ???

Featured Replies

Beechwood's pitcher is obvious. Is Roenker now strong enough to start and throw a full game?

I dont think it matters. If he's not then either Ritter or Johnson will throw. I think Holy Cross wins this game 5-2.

It will be either Roenker or Ritter.

Johnson has zero chance to start this game.

Honest question but do the light at Meiken meet the requited lighting specs of the KHSAA?

Would hate to be at the plate against Roenker in the light there, unless they have been upgraded since my last time under the lights there!

Holy Cross played the all "A" regional final last year there under the lights and they were fine.

I would agree, the lights absolutely suck there. Hope it's not an issue in the game.

Is the score board working yet?

I was wondering due to the KHSAA rules....

Beechwood's regional appearance streak is under threat tonight for sure. Beechwood has not missed a regional this century :D They are the underdogs tonight and will need their best effort to keep that streak alive.

Just out of curiousity, why was it so important that both games be played tonight? Why couldn't one game be played tonight and the other game tomorrow night?

My guess is they want to give each winning team the same amount of rest. That's really all it could be.

That's what I assume also. Yet, oddly enough, that's not a consideration in the 33rd, in which Boone/Cooper or Heritage play Tuesday and Ryle/Conner play Wednesday. The differences within the region with some districts doing blind draw vs. seeding and some districts concerned with equal rest and others not makes no sense to me. There should be some effort to make these things consistent throughout the entire region.

Holy Cross 6 Beechwood 4 in the 6th inning.

This century?

This century?

Since 2000 I'm guessing. :thumb:
