I believe the football program at Simon Kenton has deserved and merited sunny days for years to come!!! Remember not long ago when they were everyone's homecoming game!

It's going to come down to the overall size and aggresiveness of the Pioneers against the speed of Henry Clay. I agree with #5 and like the versatility of SK, but make no mistake, Simpson will get his touches. SK 35-20

Still say the pass defense needs some work! Looked as though the SP QB could have lit them up for 400 if that was their type of offense (albeit the 2nd string D-line was in for 90% of the 2nd half). Nothing SP did on "D" could stop SK though...the first unit moved the ball at will!

Cake walk for Homecoming, maybe? Everybody likes to win their Homecoming game!!

The Lawrence kid is a winner...hard to believe, but he's only lost 1 game as a starter the last 4 years and that was to the small junior college known as Trinity in the title game last year!

SK's secondary needs work, but I've read on here that Dixie tackles alot better and that's what will be the difference....looks as if SK's "O" was alot better. Hard to look at a common opponent in the first couple of weeks and figure out which way a game is going to go!

The way the o-line opened up holes last week and the way Powell and Brown ran the ball, I'd be ready to go myself!!

The Enquirer Northern Kentucky poll came out yesterday and had Simon Kenton taking 1 first place vote away from Highlands. I'll bet most of you are flipping out of your computer chairs on that one!

I don't think C-town was saying I'm wrong, maybe trying to convince me of his way of thinking(?), but that's not going to happen...really looking forward to Oct. 9th to find out though.

Gotta work your way back up after an "L". But like I said...could all change come Sat.!

Are we all gonna argue this again after this weeks games? Ryle should be 5th after Highland's handed it to them. SK is a solid 2nd with Boone 3rd, Dixie 4th. All might change come Saturday morning! The bottom 5 can be argued all night. Just think the top 5 are a head above with possibly the exception of Conner.

NCC moved the ball extremely well, but kept shooting themselves in the foot. Thought SK made great adjustments at half time on "O" and "D". Looked as if NewCath had at least 8 in the box most of the game, so Marksberry decided to put the ball in the air more and made NCC do the same. NCC's QB is going to be a real player though. Thought #8 Zach Carroll could have been player of the game though.

Just a little FYI for everyone...give Simon Kenton 3 years and they will be extremely tough. They have more basketball talent (as a whole) than I can remember anyone having in their Freshman class this year.

Hate to make a prediction cause I'm not real familiar with what Beechwood has returning, but I do know Dixie has alot of talent back. It's hard to imagine Beechwood not being dominate across the board...maybe inexperienced??? Dixie by 4...17-13

This is GREAT to hear!! I haven't seen too much of NewCath, but heard they're really young. If this is the case and Dixie beat them by 13, I'll take SK by 28. I think the Pioneers are at least 2 touchdowns better than Dixie and Lawrence showed last week he can chuck the ball around if needed.

Simpson was on crutches when he came out from the training room in the 2nd quarter. I'm no expert, but it looked like a high ankle sprain. Haven't heard the extent though...could have been on crutches for preventative measures.

I guarentee you before they graduate there's going to be alot more that 14 that catch D1 coaches eyes!! This class is unbelievable in talent!!
