Sorrell is a good player and is deserving off the positve talk but I'm curious to know his shooting % although he scores alot he takes alot of shots. Again I'm just curious and he is good!

Dixie did a good job on D indeed it sounds. 98alum you say NCC had open looks all night but NKU20 says Connor didn't shoot the 1st half Lipscomd shot only once the 2nd half? Who was shooting besides Lipscomb after he went 4 for 4 from the trey in the 1st quarter???? Sounds like Dixie just really locked down the 3 main threats for the breds and that was it?

Sorrell sure can get the get ball to in the basket! Coach Goetz does a great job of making his players understand their jobs!!!! HC is a solid team just not enough depth!

Coach Faust is probably IMO the best H.S. Coach in NKY right now did he outcoach his opponent tonight or his players just have the game of their lives!!! This game would have put Las Vegas in bankruptcy!!!!!!!! Good job Crusaders!!!!:ylsuper:

In today's Enquire it looks like Mace got the better of Giesler! Doesn't look like NCC got the ball to Lipscomb or Connor????? Lipscomb got all of his in the 1st half totally shut down in the 2nd half????? Anyone that was there have any insight on what happened????

Sorrell is good player but IMO not the best. I think the list is pretty tough to argue with but 1 question, what are you basing your list on? Points scored, rebounds, handles???? up and comers or 2nd list Darnell/Newport decent big man Giwa/Holy Cross solid point guard Pangallo/NCC can play with any soph on this list. Connor/NCC can shoot with or better anyone in the 9th Helmer/Ryle will be there (up and comer) I'd take Gabbard over Shover for his distribution and athletism!

Maley has always had the potential to be a great HS player. I thought this being his Sr. year he would improve mentally as well as a player. I've not had the opportunity to watch Ryle this year but I guess this has not happened? helmer has been a very good player in the past, something is holding these kids back? There is some young talent at Ryle and there was last year as well??

9th region Tom Hummell and Ernie Liggett I know their not working these days but they did a great job! Add Ron Arsnperger to the list

Ryle has a nice group of players what's going on. Not to take anything from Conner as they are a fine team with a great Coach but Ryle is much deeper and man for man a better team IMO. Maley I thought would be a premier player this year and Helmer can play with anyone when he's on. There has to be an underlining factor. Anyone have an inside track?

Highlands plays so physical which could be the determining factor down the stretch. Is Simpson out for the season?

While all the above comments are very true, the hiring practices at most high schools are a part of the problem. Am I correct in saying that most if not all schools hire from within the system if there is a "qualified applicant"? Well what is qualified??? I'll bet there are a lot of really qualified applicants that get passed on and causing the problem. Most parents, when the kids are young, start their own team if a child doesn't make the "select" team. Are we just giving them an opportunity to play, or telling them that the coach doesn't know what he/she is doing so we'll start our own? This is where it all starts! Then in HS they get challanged and quit!

Saw Grosser play a little last summer very impressive wheels. Kelly and Connor were on the same team and they looked like varsity players. With Pabst and kelly they should be solid behind the plate. Connor can pick it, they should be decent.
