malachicrunch Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 Kowolonek 17 points . G-Mac hangs 29 on the Rebels!
*Jeanie* Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Didn't think this is what the outcome would be! Good win for Highlands!
madman Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Good win for Highlands. The 9th Region is wide open.
Qryche11 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Great win for the Birds. This is huge with no Simpson in the lineup. G-Mac must have just gone off. He was lights out vs. CCH the other night in the 1st half. He must have put two halves together tonight. Congrats to the Birds on the victory.
cshs81 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I think I said it another thread but its a darn shame that McGraw's health/back has kept him from playing 3 years of varsity b-ball.
Mustang Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Appears that all is not lost in Ft. Thomas. Willie has an arsenal - has to be happy with the win over the Rebels. Congrats!
Tiger1 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Good win for Highlands. The 9th Region is wide open. Holmes is by far the best team in the 9th. It is Holmes to lose.

Their offense is not good enough to make them a clear-cut favorite. Their D is but , as we saw tonight, they struggle to score against good defenses.

Plus, no one from the 9th has beaten them yet. This makes them the clear cut favorite in the 9th.

Not saying i dont think they are the best team in the 9th, but Holmes hasnt played everyone in the 9th yet. So Boone and Highlands both have their chances to prove they are better than Holmes when they play in the upcoming month.
WyldWynks Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 wow. didn't expect this outcome, but pleasantly surprised.

Plus I believe Highlands has yet to lose in the ninth, and they beat a Cov. Cath team without their floor leader. Boones win over Cov Cath was much more impressive than Holmes. Its a four horse race, maybe 5 depending on how Dixie plays. Holmes might win region, but by no means are they the clear cut favorite.
gswilder Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Boone has been playing well. Great win for Highlands, especially without Simpson.
