I think they would do us proud in Bowling Green. Just disappointed that the Lady Bearcats didn't put up more of a fight. I really think they have the talent to play at a much higher level.

Walton-Verona underachieved. With their talent, the number of seniors, marquee players, and Class "A" Schedule I expected more than 14-14

They are balanced, good perimeter shooters and solid players at the post. They are difficult to press and score well in transition. To open up the game against Williamstown last night they did not shoot the ball particularly well and I thought that Williamstown's 1-3-1 defense did a good job of putting pressure on the perimeter and defending the post. Williamstown's problem was they could not handle SK's defense and then things just got out of control. I think WV should run a half court zone that puts pressure on the perimeter (1-3-1 or 3-2) and on the offensive end they need to get the ball in hargett's hands as much as possible. She will draw a lot of attention and passes well inside out and into Dixon on the block. WV must stay out of the corners where SK traps so well. It will take a nearly perfect game from WV, but I think they have the talent to do it.

Is the game tonight? I thought tonight was an off night for the 32nd District.

that's pretty funny. But I really beileve that WV has a decent chance against them if they can play to their potential.

I know no one gives the lady Bearcats a chance in this one, but I think that it is possible for them to pull out the victory. What do you think it would take for the Pioneers to be upset?? I am going to start things off with WV +2

Do any of these girls have hopes of continuing their basketball careers? Or any of the Walton-Verona Players (I would imagine Hargett, but anyone else). Quite a lot of talent graduating from these two teams.

Grant County played well, but in the end the Lady Bearcats were able to overcome an aweful night of shooting, especially from the line (4-15 in the first half). Hargett played well, as did Bowling. Good luck to them in the District Finals against SK. Play up to your potential and you could be District Champs.

Depends on which WV team shows up. If it is the team that gave up a twelve point lead to Carroll County, then Grant wins by 6, If it is the team that whipped Trimble County by 25+, then WV by 15. I believe the Lady Bearcats control their own destiny, but they must come to play.

3 losses in their last 4 games. They better watch out for Grant County. Grant knocked off Owen in their last game and may be playing some of their best basketball of the season.

Coach Rosen was back at the helm last night. She is apparently feeling better.

The game was cancelled earlier due to snow and rescheduled for Friday night. The reality of the situation is no one can control the weather and the purpose of senior night is supposed to be to honor the seniors on their last game played at home. You do not have complete control over when that is going to be with weather and conference scheduling. Sometimes games get snowed out, and often it is impossible to work them into the schedule of both teams. In this situation, both teams had Saturday open. Coach Stewart knew it was going to be Senior Night for Williamstown, and still chose to not reschedule the game because she thought it was in her teams best interest. I just think that as a coach and an educator she should take into consideration the effect this had on the Williamstown Seniors and be empathetic enough to realize she would not want this to happen to her seniors (one of which is her daughter). The thing that suprises me most about this situation is I would not have expected this from Coach Stewart. By all other accounts she is a class act in every aspect. This just seems out of character.

A question for you TB&G, and you don't have to answer it on here, just think about it and be honest with yourself. If the game were to be played at Trimble County, and it was going to be their senior night, AND Coach Stewart had the opportunity to reschedule the game for Saturday. Do you think she would have played and honored her seniors, or do you think that she would have cancelled so she could practice and get ready for South Oldham? Personally, I do not. I think she would have done whatever she could to get the game in and honor her seniors.

I would imagine Trimble's girls would get much more out of playing Williamstown than they would playing against their JV in practice.

I heard that the Williamstown vs. Trimble County game that was supposed to be played last night was cancelled due to weather (understandable) but I also heard Trimble County did not want to make it up tonight. That is a shame. The Williamstown girls will not get to have their senior night if this is true.:madman:

Their defense was inspired. Much better than it has been in a long time. Unfortunately Coach Rosen was still out sick and unable to be at the game. Best wishes to her on a speedy recovery.

There is a difference between bashing and the truth. In many Mommy and Daddy's eyes their kid does nothing wrong and it is always another player or the Coach's fault. I find it difficult to sit and listen to this and keep my mouth shut, so I sit by others who seem to see the game as a whole, not just one players part in it.

Parents look at the game thru mommy and daddy goggles. They don't always want to hear an unbiased opinion.
