Saturdays freshmen game between district rivals SK and WV should be a good one. WV has not played any Freshman games as of yet but their JV team is mostly freshmen. If WV plays all their freshmen in the freshmen game it could be close.

Once Reed was contained Owen really struggled. But they had one starter on the bench with an injured neck. These two match up again in the first round of the All A. Think Coach Osbourne was sandbagging???

Against Boone and Campbell it was their lack of defense vs penetration that seemed suspect. That was not an issue vs south

I know there is more to this whole situation than most outsiders know. W-V administration has high expectations and wants all of their athletic programs to excel. I am sure that the new coach is the best person for the job given the circumstances. I am also sure that the coaching staff as a whole will continue the success that the program has experienced over the last few years. As a parent of a player I am pleased.

I heard that it was made official today that Assistant Coach Kasey Kennedy was named as the head coach of the Lady Demons to fill the void left by the resignation of Coach Wilhoit. Can anyone substantiate this?

10th is much easier to win a regional title than the 11th would be my guess. Joey has done a great job at FC.

Can someone name a team that does not have players on their roster who live outside of the district. Williamstown perhaps?

If you're getting fouled and lose the ball that's a turnover, if the foul isn't called. It's also hard to shot while getting hand checked too. That being said, both teams fouled all night and very little was called and a tight whistle would favors new cath style of play. Good luck to both teams next week.

Problem at WV right now....the daddy goggles are a little to thick. It was easy to see the best 5 last night... Good luck coach no matter how much success you have it won't be enough for some.

Let everyone draw or let everyone seed just make it universal. It would be great to see everyone draw and the districts see these girls draws. Short bracket of: Heritage Academy and Cooper winner gets into region. Other side: Conner, Ryle, Boone Short bracket of: Holmes and Cov Latin winner gets into region Other side: ND, HC, Beechwood Short bracket: Newport and Bellevue winner gets in region Other side: NCC, HHS, Dayton Short bracket: Ludlow and Llyod winner gets into region Other side: SH, Villa, Dixie Would be funny to see how teams/fans thought about the draw with the possibility of this. I'm sure NCC and HHS would love to see just one of these so others would know how it feels. I'm sure youncould make the same case for a boys draw.

HHS participated in Ludlow's Team Camp and had tri scrimmages with other teams. I know Walton Verona and Grant Co were at HHS one night playing them and also heard that Pendleton Co, Owen Co and Holy Cross were playing at HHS this summer. Did hear the assistants were running practices while Coach Richey was out. Wondering how HHS looked this summer with such a young team.

I have heard several names of experienced coaches from around the 8th Region. Both current and former coaches. One is currently coaching an AAU team with GC ties, and another is a head coach of a neigboring county school so it looks like they are looking for someone with experience who can make an impact right away.

Looks like HHS stats are on the khsaa, those kids just didnt have the numbers to make the list. I looked back HHS has posted stats all year long on KHSAA.

Ton of talent, I'm not around the program that much. Who in the last two years played and went on to play in college for HHS any D1 players or D2 players? I agree coach Warfield did a great job, only coach i can remember over the last 10 years who didn't have a D1 player and won the region. (sign with D1 not mom and dad my kid is D1).

Yes, because of the 36th not sending its best two teams to the region. Boone, NCC, or Ryle, will get a favorable draw. NCC will have to play both Ryle and Boone it looks like to get to the final unless Boone or Ryle gets upset. Does anyone give ND a chance to make some noise?
