Louis Meadows # 1 girls fan passes.

Featured Replies

Louis Meadows passed away today in hospice care, when the obituary is available I will post it or a link. Louis had been a great promoter for girls basketball the last 20 yrs and called himself the #1 girls basketball fan. He ran forums and had an email network that exchanged info with coaches ,players and the general public. Rip louis.

He was ahead of his time, always enjoyed reading his stuff. No one could ever claim to be more of a fan than Louis.

Louis leaves many friends here in Pendleton County. Don't know anyone that didn't respect him. He was a wonderful teacher and yes, absolutely the number one fan of girls' high school basketball in Kentucky.

Hate to hear this. Definetly a great man and fan of girls basketball. Will miss seeing him at games and reading his news letters.

This sucks

R.I.P. Louis.

RIP. I never met him but I loved reading his weekly newsletter. Ky girls basketball has lost a great fan.

Girls' basketball in the Bluegrass has suffered a major loss, and his passing creates a huge hole. A truly gentle and kind man has left us, and he will be greatly missed.

I dont see any obits online today, was told he requested no memorial services. I had Mr Meadows as a math teacher many years ago. He was one of the best teachers I had. Back around 1996 I saw him at nku at the finals of the girls famous recipe tournament and got talking to him about girls basketball. I hung out with him several times at the tournaments at Lexington Catholic. One of my favorite memories of him was about 8 yrs ago at Lexington,Louis wanted to catch a little bit of every game, every 15-20 minutes he would run from the old gym then back to the new gym then back and forth and back and forth! I told him he was going to wear the hallway out! He laughed and said he just wanted to see who was good, players and teams.

A good fan. A great man. RIP Louis.
