Bishop Brossart 73 Silver Grove 7

Featured Replies

Sarah Futscher had 10 points to lead Brossart to a 73-7 win over Silver Grove on the road Tuesday night. Brossart held the Big Trains scorless in a 49-0 first half and held them without a shot til 2:35 in the second quarter in a game that saw 16 Lady 'Stangs play. The Lady 'Stangs are 3-0 and travel to Highlands Thursday and host Ryle Friday.

Was it really necessary to post not only the score, but give details? Have some class, BGH.

How is it BGH's fault for reporting the facts.

First, welcome to the site!

Secondly, it's hard to explain BECAUSE you're new. The vets of the site understand why.

But simply, no reason to put particulars in a hideous blowout like this. Rubs salt in the wound.

Wow. Thank God for a running clock.

You got that right.... Glad the trains made their PAT.

I was just reading this thinking the same thing. First Calvary and now Silver Grove! I guess I would be okay with the score, but come on!

I have to agree, hell I didn't bother with the NewCath/Newport game the other night.

You have much to learn about our big green friend!!!

Wow. Thank God for a running clock.

I think the running clock is counter productive. How is Silver Grove going to get better if the game is shortened. Wouldn't their players gain more by playing against Brossarts subs for as long as they could? They paid the price against the starters, they should reap the benefit of "practicing" against the third string for as long as they can get.

So instead of getting beat by 66, they can get beat by 96. I think they suffered enough humiliation, why make it worse? After being down 49-0 at halftime, I think the last place they want to be is in the gym. Nothing good comes out of a beating like this.

7 points and scoreless in a half and you shouldn't have a program. Coming from a guy who's never seen a girls bball game.

Silver Grove is not going to get better on this night, in this situation. Madman said it right, "Nothing good comes out of a beating like this." And I might add that this is true for both teams.

Before anyone asks, it is a district seeding game between the two members of the 37th District, that is required to be played.

The really bad news is that there is a possibility that they could meet up again in the 37th District Tournament.

Good point. After the first reaction of, "why did they even play?", I then remembered it was a district game.
