I heard that the Williamstown vs. Trimble County game that was supposed to be played last night was cancelled due to weather (understandable) but I also heard Trimble County did not want to make it up tonight. That is a shame. The Williamstown girls will not get to have their senior night if this is true.:madman:

Please. Senior Night is special. For parents and players and coaches. It's a huge deal. That is a shame. I feel for Williamstown.

That is too bad.. I with the 2 Seniors of Williamstown the best.

 

It is a special evening for those girls.

That's too bad! Maybe something can be done at districts to recognize the girls between games Tuesday. I wish them well!

As much as I hate to say it that would be the right thing to do.

I am sure that it is not because Trimble did not want to make it up, but because of the timing.....do you want a kid to get hurt on a Saturday night before the district tournament?

 

If I am not mistaken, this is a makeup game anyway from early in the season when Williamstown did not have school and could not play.

 

It is sad for the seniors and my heart goes out to them. This could happen to any school any time.

Trimble should have played the game. Maybe one day W'town can return the favor.

I never understood the "don't wan't anybody to get hurt". They are going to practice before their District game, aren't they? I know there are boys games at Walton and Owenton tonight.

Don't want to make light of Senior Night but it seems to me that girls and their parents tend to put much more importance on this evening then say the boys and their parents. I'm not saying it isn't a special night but the boys seem less concerned with it.

If the game between Trimble and Williamstown doesn't have any bearing on seeding or standings or something of that nature I can certainly understand why they would prefer not to make a trip of this distance especially with the District Tourneys starting on Monday and Tuesday in most areas..

It was a favor for Trimble to reschedule it so late to begin with. This game goes back to December. Trimble wanted to schedule it earlier.

This happened to us last year too (senior night game cancelled due to weather and no time to have a make up game). One of the parents had a nice party at their house for all players and families to try to replicate senior night and regognize the players. Not quite the same but it was alot of fun.
