Hargett carried the team late. She came out with 10 in the first period and kept it on the Oldham County girls.

The girls played great D' and just played well together to get it done! The shot's weren't falling from the outside for Walton, but had some late key 3' to put them on top.

Go Walton. Congrats! Huge WIN!

Any stats on the game. Nice win by WV.

Hargett had a Great Night. Not sure how many she ended with, but what a night.

Cheesemen got hurt early in the second period but came back strong in the final period of the game.

Ginn hit a Huge 3 and some great on the ball steals to put in for lay-ups.

The whole Walton team step'd up tonight! Great Win for Walton!:jump:

GREAT WIN FOR THE LADYCATS!!!! Everybody stepped up when they needed to. Looked like a shocked Oldham team at the end of the game. If I'm not mistaken it's been sometime since Walton has had a region win.

Well Done!!!!!!

Way to go Ladycats. It was a pleasure to see the team come back after falling behind a few points. You really stepped up to the plate.

Good luck to the coaching staff and all of the Lady Bearcats in the next round!

Congrats to the Lady Bearcats! Great game. The 4th quarter defensive pressure was awesome. Hargett had a great game on both ends of the floor. Ginn had some key steals, and a 3 pointer late (big plays for a 8th grader). And Sara Nargassi was huge of the bench with great defense, some steals, a 3 pointer and a few two pointers. The whole team played extremely hard to fight back for this win. Again Congrats and good luck Friday night!

Great job for the Lady Bearcats.

I am still trying to figure out how Oldham beat South Oldham in the district final.

I think it was you who said upsets happen this time of year and it was a big rival game. Sometimes things just don't go as planned. IMO Oldham played their best game(2nd half) of the year against South- their shots fell and key turnovers were capitalized on. I am not at all surprised that Oldham lost to Walton- they did not have the motivation that they did in district play and I think they thought they would walk over them and were looking to play Anderson in the next game. Cannot overlook any team this time of year- there is no tomorrow!

Perhaps it is fate that has stepped in so that South can have a first round match-up against Shelby. They are very motivated and very pumped up for the upset.

I am not surprised either about Walton winning. They are good.It is always a good time for an upset in that first game after having very little time to prepare.

You are correct. It must have been fate.
