CatPride24 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 I know no one gives the lady Bearcats a chance in this one, but I think that it is possible for them to pull out the victory. What do you think it would take for the Pioneers to be upset?? I am going to start things off with WV +2
madman Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 SK by 15+. I don't think WV can handle SK's pressure defense and control the tempo. It will be close early (like 2 - 0) but SK will pull away.

Last night we got lucky that they didn't get picked off, but Friday Night, against a great team like Simon, I don't think you'll get that lucky again. Throw the ball with some heat on it!:jump: Go Walton!

Is the game tonight? I thought tonight was an off night for the 32nd District.
*Jeanie* Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Sorry. Your right. I didn't mean to put tonight! :thumb: Guy's Finals tomorrow, girls Friday night. My mistake!
*Jeanie* Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Is the game tonight? I thought tonight was an off night for the 32nd District. I wonder what Walton's game plan will be?? Anyone have idea's on how to stop Simon?? We've played them twice and really haven't been much of a game, with Simon running away with it early, each time, how should Walton defend a team like Simon?
24smom Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Simon Kenton. The margin will depend on when SK starts going to the bench and/or pulls off the pressure.

They are balanced, good perimeter shooters and solid players at the post. They are difficult to press and score well in transition. To open up the game against Williamstown last night they did not shoot the ball particularly well and I thought that Williamstown's 1-3-1 defense did a good job of putting pressure on the perimeter and defending the post. Williamstown's problem was they could not handle SK's defense and then things just got out of control. I think WV should run a half court zone that puts pressure on the perimeter (1-3-1 or 3-2) and on the offensive end they need to get the ball in hargett's hands as much as possible. She will draw a lot of attention and passes well inside out and into Dixon on the block. WV must stay out of the corners where SK traps so well. It will take a nearly perfect game from WV, but I think they have the talent to do it.

So is your prediction more of what you want to happen than actually what you think will happen? Other than the first sentence of the first post everything has been leading to why SK has and will blow WV out. This game will be just like the rest, SK will win by 25 or 30.

The difference is that Walton know's that their good enough to knock off Simon. Sure Walton will have to play a almost perfect game to beat SK but the team, as in Walton, knows they can win and have a perfect game! It will be different in this one. Walton is playing good, and I look for Hargett to have a great game.

I just don't see it happening, sorry.

But, Walton didn't play to their potential when they played at Walton, and when playing at SK, Walton was in the game until the late 2nd period, and playing at SK is a hard place to play for anyone or any team. Playing at a neutral floor will even the game out much more. Walton trust themselves and teammates more than ever now, IMO think it will be a close game throughout. :jump:
