I expected this one to be much closer. Walton Verona must have been highly motivated.

Their defense was inspired. Much better than it has been in a long time. Unfortunately Coach Rosen was still out sick and unable to be at the game. Best wishes to her on a speedy recovery.

Great play from these girls tonight. Brown/Bowlin/Cheesman/Ginn/Ryan also contributed to the scoring tonight, in this game. Great Job Girls!

 

Walton came out 'hot' and went ahead of Trimble quickly. Sargent came out with a 3' to start the scoring for Walton, and seemed to take care of the ball well throughout the first half. Trimble really never got the game close, and Walton had great 'D' tonight. Dixon had control of the paint, and Hargett/Heeger/Sargent put great pressure on the Trimble guards. Caused many turn-overs, which Walton capitalized on.

 

Walton had good inside and guard play. Put it all together tonight. Well done!

Correct. A whole different game was played tonight. Trimble seemed slow, and Walton looked like they wanted this game. Trimble County girls, I know have been sick, so a few of the players are just healing from the flu. Seem to hurt they play tonight. Get well Trimble County girls for the post season!

Most of the Trimble girls are fully recovered, so I can't really let that be an excuse. I wasn't at the girls game tonight (had a boys JV/9th game at home that I had to be at) so I don't know the reason, but it seems to be the Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde thing that has been going on all year. They will play really really well, then the next game play like they are in a bubble.
