What coach do you think does the best job of scouting their opponents? Does it help, does it hurt?? I have always thought this is an important part of game preparation, but some coaches focus more on what their team does rather than on the opponents. Any thoughts??

WV by 20+, if they can beat Williamstown by 15, they can beat Gallatin by more.

So much for the assertions that Ryle would walk away with a Regional Championship if they were in the 8th Region.

Williamstown had a good game plan, but I don't think they expected Sargent to have 10 in the first half and Hargett to hit a "3". That was the difference in the game. Heeger lit it up too, not sure how many threes she had, but she had to have had 3 or 4 and all of them were backbreakers for Williamstown.

Holy Cross won by less than 10 points. It was Walton's game if they would have hit their free throws.

8th vs. 9th Region Class A Battle. I say Holy Cross by 15. Anyone have any thoughts

Great record for the 7-8-9, and even better when you look at the rosters and realize it is a lot of the same girls playing at all three levels.

I was unable to go to the game, but heard that Hargett played little in the thord quarter while SK went on their run. Is this true? Was she in foul trouble??

All it takes is for one kid to screw up and blow it for a whole school or school district. I think this happened in Kenton County a few years back. Still not sure if they are allowed to travel. The players need to realize that going on these trips is great for them, but their behavior will determine if anyone else from their program will ever get to go again.

That is the big IF, isn't it. Ryle has been a revolving door for coaches since it was opened. I think this has to do more with the clientele of Ryle than the quality of coaches.

Not sure when the WV lady bearcats last defeated SK, but I doubt anyone on the current roster was on the bench. Might be hard for WV to beat the SK jerseys. but I think 25 is a stretch

oh, I am sure, but I always love when the visiting team drags their chairs across the floor on every time out or between every quarter, and then drag them back again just to get away from the band. Part of me is jealous, I wish our band was that good.

the band excluded I assume. Playing right in the ear of the visiting team is not very respectful. I always thought they should be behind W-town bench or on the other side of the gym. Not the band members fault, more the game manager.

and WV only has one loss, to SK. That should be their motivation. I am sure Coach Rosen has been preaching it to the girls all week. WV also has had no games this week. Nothing but time to rest and prepare.

You are right, I haven't been to a game at Owen this year, but I have been to many of them in the past. Nice to hear the Owen faithful are packing the gym. What night of the week was the Carroll game on? Was it a special night (homecoming, etc.)??

Agreed, and now is the best time to play them. If WV wins and beats Williamstown next week, SK and WV would have a coin toss for the number one seed in the district.

I agree about Owen wanting to avenge their loss to SO, but how much of a crowd will actually be there on Monday night in Owen County. I know there is not much to do there, but really, it is hardly a hostile mob. More like a couple of loud parents.

Well coached game by Coach Bennett and the Bearcat staff. Their subs and strategy down the stretch and their ability to get the team to believe they could come back when they were down by 12 was nice to see. If they keep playing and coaching that well, they may win the district and possibly make some noise in the region.

Any details. How did McLeish, Moss and Crittenden do??

Even though SK hasn't been playing well, I say they get healthy against the Lady Bearcats on Saturday. SK by 15. Anyone else have any thoughts?
