  1. Sounds like the teams had different half time pep talks! Good luck to Manual in the tourney, RH has another tough one today!
  2. Wow:eek:. Nice win, especially if the other team had 2 kids 12 ft tall!!!
  3. Actually, what tends to happen, the threads are much larger in the losses simply because the usual suspects from the 16th love to swarm the waters when they smell blood from RH. So the logic that the threads are more "infused" when they win is the polar opposite from the truth. By the way, I forgot to congratulate the Royals on the victory, good luck tonight.
  4. I've watched Rose Hill play a couple of times this season, and I wonder what exactly is their offensive philosophy? I was at the Bath Co. game and I don't think RH had 5 offensive rebounds and there were always 3 guys outside the arc. The funny thing about that is that seldom did those guys shoot the 3. I agree with most of the posters, if they can't get some production out of those other guys then they will struggle to win on a consistent basis with only 2 scorers. I don't particularly understand why the Malloy kid doesn't get more shots, he is a solid shooter from behind the arc from what I've seen. I understand that they lost Fuller, but IMO they have kids that shoot it as well as he did. Of course, this is my opinion only, I have never seen these kids in practice, never been in the locker room with them, I trust that the coach understands them far better than I and I don't want this post to seem like an attack on him in any way.
  5. Congrats West on the victory!!!:thumb:
  6. Cupcake. Hope it gets a bit more difficult since the KOBG tourney looms up ahead.
  7. What I find funny is that even when the purpose of this thread was to defend the Ashland paper, arguments arise between Ashlanders. Wow! I will say, however, that I don't subscribe because I can read online, but there's obviously some articles that don't make the webpage that are in the actual paper. I don't understand that. Seems it would be easy to simply duplicate the hard copy to an online paper without eliminating anything.
  8. Ugly game. Hard to watch. I don't understand what Russell's offense is designed to do. But that's why I am not on the sideline. And for that, I'm thankful. Worst game of the 3 last night. Hopefully today will be better.
  9. Ashland would be lucky to keep it under 40.
  10. One on one, without help, I couldn't disagree more. And I mean that as no slight to Matt.
  11. Russell fans should be hoping (not hopping:D) that the upcoming schedule has a few :bunny:'s on it at the rate they're going. Perhaps that is the source of the bunny craze.
  12. I guess the reports of Rose Hill's demise has been grossly overstated. Game was 20+ I've been told through nearly all the 2nd half. Congratulations Royals.:thumb:
  13. Hicks loses coat at the 7:45 mark in the first quarter. Elliott by 45.
  14. Oh, I doubt that the result of that game will matter. If Elliott loses, it's "I told you so". In the event Elliott wins, OY will probably point to the fact that Christian Co. was overrated and had 3 losses already.
  15. Shooter, I'll help you hand out the several helpings of crow when you're right Friday night. I suppose I'll say RH by 10
  16. Skaggs scores 25 and the Wiz gets his first T for being 15 ft. out on the floor. I'll take Russell by 2.
  17. For what it's worth, which is probably nothing, I disagree on every count. As a matter of fact, if Ferguson was injured (God forbid) they won't make it to the regional tournament.
  18. I'm saying that posts after wins seem to bear out that they are the best Ashland team you've seen, after a loss it seems that they're overrated. Which is it? Or do I misunderstand?
  19. I wonder why!? happy ol' dad All Region Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Ashland Posts: 985 It as either broken or dislocated. I know that AShland was picked 2nd or 3rd in the region but this is the best "team" I have seen in a long time at Ashland. They appear not to care about individual stats and play hard nose defense. Score was about what I expected.
  20. Wow, I picked Elliott by 28, I was only off by 25.:jump:
  21. Morgan is very athletic. Solid club, well coached. Congrats to RH on the win, good luck to Morgan as the season progresses.
  22. Elliott doesn't play football, so for kicks, I'll guess Elliott by 4 TD's.
  23. If defense is a prerequisite, Marques Dawson was the best defensive player I've seen in the 16th in my lifetime. He still holds Ky's record for steals in a game with 16 vs. West Carter in '03.
