  1. I wonder if Buddy Biggs from Ashland would be interested in that job?
  2. Final from All-A. West down 15 at half comes back to move to round of 8 in Richmond.
  3. You know, sometimes you should just say as little as possible when someone asks you a question. Here's coaches quote after their win over Mason: "We’ve got a good basketball team,” Thacker said. “Anybody wants to question whether we can play or whether we play a (tough) schedule, any doubters we have, if we continue to play the way we are, then we should be able to start changing those doubting Thomases into believers.” Sometimes you just say we were the better team tonight, then you don't look like a clown when you donate one to a regional bottom feeder.
  4. Looking forward to hearing Thacker's comments on this one.
  5. Final according to kentucky.com Rowan Co. 15 13 11 5 44 Menifee Co. 13 10 12 10 45 Rowan Co. (15-5) -- Townsend 9, Egan 9, Wing 11, Cross 6, Hunter 7, Thacker 2. Menifee Co.(6-11) -- Hacker 13, Hunt 6, Warren 2, Swartz 8, Welch 5, Brooks 2, Ramsey 9
  6. Russell 62 Raceland 55 Raceland 15 12 11 17 * 55 Russell 7 15 15 25 * 62 Raceland (1-8) -- Blair 2, Gwinn 2, Meade 8, Ratcliff 4, Farley 18, Risner 19. Russell (6-3) -- Boyd 19, Porter 4, McKenzie 6, Hunt 20, Davidson 13. ***
  7. Greenup will be bloomin' lucky to go 9-6 in that stretch.
  8. Maybe the Independent has boycotted Rose Hill. They are on a 2 year probation with the ADI as well. Orrrrrrrrr, maybe they're busy doing the basketball preview that was supposed to be in today's paper and never made it.:idunno:
  9. $25,000 fine for Seymour but no suspension. Flip a coin league office. They must really consult the magic 8 ball.
  10. I thought he led with his shoulder. Of course sometimes there is going to be contact with the helmet. Isn't that why they wear them? This league has become way too arbitrary on their hits, penalties, fines and the officials are taking the brunt of all the controversy and complaining when in all reality there isn't much they can do other than enforce the rule as handed down to them from the league. I agree that something has to give.
  11. I think at smaller schools, this is commonplace. However, at a larger school, and frankly with more highly competitive programs, there just isn't any point in playing a senior on a JV team that is, for all intents and purposes, a method to get kids ready for Varsity competition. No reason to play a kid who will have no bearing on the outcome of future basketball endeavors at a school like that. Not all kids can play basketball, nor are entitled to do so.
  12. That would go diametrically against the grain of this board.
  13. Exactly. But the river of tears is nearly dry from the summer's drought. It seems to be on the rise, however.
  14. Like stated before, I don't think that the rest of the state will feel sorry because of travel arrangements that put these 6A districts in travel problems across the great expanse that is Louisville.
  15. If it's not whining, what is it? And I don't know who you support, nor do I care. Didn't have to know you had to be a fan of either to whine. It's clear why the Louisville arrangement was made. It wasn't for geography, so I don't know why we have these maps. But I have a feeling that there will be alot of boohooing for seasons to come.
  16. CityBoyz. Crackin' me up there! Wonder if you'd make it in the country, plainly speaking.
  17. A. You can read without posting. And I've read plenty. B. If you don't want to say anything about the issue, why post at all? Credibility would be greater if you'd just spill the beans.
  18. Well, once again, Wireman with veiled replies so that folks out here in BGP land think he's connected. Who are you waiting on now to give you clearance to spill the beans? The act is tired frankly.
