Kentucky B-Ball Histrory & Bama football history
CatsCatsCats replied to Alabama Larry's topic in College Basketball
Its tough to gauge the most prestigious program. Four or five schools can lay claim in basketball, same for football. UK basketball and Alabama football are definitely in the conversation in their sports, if not the top two programs. -
Kentucky B-Ball Histrory & Bama football history

Its not really fair to compare titles between basketball and football IMO. In basketball the NIT was a much bigger deal than the NCAA tourney for much of the 20th century. In football, the champion is still being disputed. In terms of long term consistent success, someone would be hard pressed to find a better college program than UK basketball, even if UCLA does have more titles. -
Forgot about V for Vendetta and Se7en the first time through.

Winners and Losers of State Tournament Draw

How is that more fair than a blind draw? I'm missing that PP. -

Winners and Losers of State Tournament Draw
CatsCatsCats replied to kyhssports's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I don't see how a blind draw for the State tourney is any different or even worse than the playoff format we have for football. There is no perfect way to seed a state tournament IMO. The current way is the most fair, even if it makes for a less exciting tourney. If I'm not mistaken the true intent of the KHSAA Sweet 16 is to crown a state champ, not to provide great games to the fans. Many people hate the BCS, why would you want to corrupt high school sports with something so subjective? Every team in KY has the exact same chance to win the whole thing, from the big schools in Lexington and Louisville to the small schools around the state. How can it be more fair than that? -
Those are awesome.

Was Tyler Black the QB for Mason that was injured this year? He absolutely destroyed us when he played, it was a shame he got hurt this season. -
It was great. It had alot of potential.

Westboro church to picket Joe Paterno's funeral.

I hope Penn State's students continue what they did on campus when JoePa was fired if this really happens. WBC crosses the line each and every time. -
Davis: "Just bring him in here. I'm going to block everything."
CatsCatsCats replied to mobaar's topic in College Basketball
That's not really trash talk IMO. Even if it was, every team does it. Even the old school guys did it. Read about the 70s and 80s ballers. Larry Bird was the king of trash talk. Jordan was the prince. But what a good 2 months it will be. -
I read it somewhere.

He has said he wants to play until he is 40. No way he retires IMO.

East Carter 56 Greenup County 46

Good win for East without Kyle Stewart. Hopefully he'll get back to full health soon, he is a big difference maker for them. -

I liked what I saw from Eddie Curry. If he stays healthy, I could see him being a better long-term answer at Center than Anthony is. He's big. -

I would think so. But, if you could keep DHoward after you traded for him no way do you take Rondo over him. -

How has that worked out for most small market teams in the league? Getting Westbrook and Ibaka if available would be the only move Orlando should look at. No way do they get a better deal that that, especially if Westbrook is signed long-term. -

I have a hard time believing that Westbrook and Ibaka wouldn't be the best Orlando could do in a trade. I'd take that in heartbeat over Bynum and Gasol, even though Bynum and Gasol collectively are better. -
1992 Dream Team vs 2012 Dream Team
CatsCatsCats replied to PurplePride92's topic in National Basketball Association (NBA)
Some of you guys are showing your age. The athleticism of the 2012 team would be too much for the 92 team IMO. Could a recently injury-induced, retired Larry Bird do anything against someone like LeBron James, I don't see it? How would the retired Magic Johnson do against DRose or CP3? Would he have an advantage? MJ is the greatest but I'd take a duo of Kobe and DWade going at him for a full game with DHoward protecting the basket any day. 92 team was great but they would have by far the two worst players on the floor in Leattner and Mullin. In the modern game with the way basketball is refereed now, 2012 team is a double digit favorite IMO. -
Is this U of L team going to be like UConn two years ago and totally collapse and miss the tourney? I'm not seeing a great team right now, but they have time to turn it around. This doesn't help though, hopefully he'll make a speedy and full recovery.

By far the best UK has played this year IMO. If this is the real UK team they are going to be a tougher out in the tourney than we all thought. John Wall was amazing, but in terms of awe factor I think Davis is as good as I've seen at UK. MKG may be the better all around player right now, but the Brow is awesome to watch on the court.

In the playoffs James and Wade will be unbeatable. DWade's injury will be a good thing for LeBron and the Heat. -
Colts Fire Jim Caldwell

I never thought Caldwell seemed like a great NFL coach. I don't blame them for going in another direction. -
UK 2011-2012 who leaves for the NBA?
CatsCatsCats replied to WHO YA WITH's topic in College Basketball
I've seen where some are talking MKG possibly #1 overall. I don't see him passing Davis, but for the life of me I don't know how you take Perry Jones or Sullinger over him. I could see where some would prefer Barnes, but I wouldn't. IMO Davis and MKG will easily be the two best pros in this draft.
