Well that means the Moore/Manual game for today is cancelled as well can I get a thread for that game!

Burkett from Fern Creek isn't the best in the 7th but deserves to be in the discussion with these pitchers.

What position does Matt Allen play? I saw Carroll fall apart against Seneca on Monday were they were up 5-2 going into the bottom of the 7th with a no-hitter and end up losing 6-5.

Well I had a situation where my player that was stealing 2nd base was tagged with a little more force than should of been and was hit hard enough his helmet fell off. Next thing I know my pitcher and catcher ask if we could hit him the next time up and I said it was up to them and of course next time the kid came to the plate we plunked them in the thigh. The kid knew it was coming and just smiled as he went to 1st base and it was over. I felt my kids just wanted to protect their teammate from a dirty play and I see nothing wrong with it. You all will disagree but little things like that bring my team together.

Anybody have anything about this game?

I mean if it's actually 58 runs that is some poor sportsmanship by the AC head coach, please be a typo though no kid deserves that big of a beating ever.

Are you serious? Please tell me half of Trinity's team forgot what time the game was and didn't make it.

If they do switch to the Michigan offense, is this crazy to think would they move Justin Green to qb and let him run out of the gun like McFadden did at Arkansas. Or am I just thinking crazy?

Central will be fine next year, but I do expect the offense to be different as you will see more option football and less passing. Banks was a good qb with a very live arm, when we went down to the Hive last year he looked great in warm-ups with tight spirals and great velocity on the ball. Banks is gone and their new qb will run the option very well plus there is always a running back at every school, I don't care what anybody says you can find a running back. At Central with all those athletes there it won't be hard for them to replace Taylor and #24 (Washington I think). The defense will be superb and I really believe they will have more wrinkles in the D especially with all that speed on that side of the ball. One thing won't change at Central, you better be ready for 48 minutes of football they come to hit you and hit you some more till the whistle blows. Physical football keeps you in games I believe and they execute that to perfection. Their schedule shouldn't change since I think all their opponents they played last year are in 2 year contracts. Lastly the team that beats them this year has to be prepared for 48 minutes of smashmouth football.

Well I found them so here they are: Wednesday (at Bellarmine) - Sacred Heart vs. Fern Creek, 3:30 p.m. Manual vs. Jeffersontown, 5 p.m. Christian Academy vs. Ballard, 6:30 p.m. Moore vs. Mercy, 8 p.m. Thursday (at Louisville Gardens) - Semifinals, 7 and 8:30 p.m. Saturday (at Louisville Gardens) - Final, 1:30 p.m.

Anybody got anything yet? Would like to know who Moore has first.

Yes that's true she was absoluetly dominating last night.

Moore wins the district championship and advance to play either Ballard, JTown or Mercy in next weeks 7th region tournament. What a game by 6'3Ondrea Shaw tonight ladies and gentlemen she finished with 23 points, 27 rebounds and 12 blocks and she's only a sophomore at Moore. The true star of the game was senior point guard Quintisha (spelling might be incorrect, I apologize) Miles, for Moore that had the resonsibility of guarding University of Louisville signee Monique Reid that finished with 14 points, 18 below her average and Q was giving up least 2 feet to her in height. Q was in her face everytime she got the ball and is definately the best on-ball defender that Moore has. As for the game it wasn't really in doubt especially since Moore jumped out to a huge lead at halftime leading 29-12. The game was interesting when Fern Creek came within 4 or 5 in the 3rd quarter but never got any closer as Shaw was just amazing as was seniors Brandy Middleton, Ashmere Woods, and April Herbert. They lead Moore to their first district championship in I believe 6 years and coach David Meadows is doing a phenomenal job with these ladies as he will be taking them to the 7th region as the 26th district tournament champions. Congrats ladies it is well deserved.

What happen to their coach from last year, we played them last year seemed like he was happy there? Great we have them in the opener and of course we'll probably get Cox again.

Well what do you have a degree in? If your a PE/Health teacher it'll be very hard for work around here since most of those positions are already filled. Also I would apply for the JTown job now since Carmody left for Butler. Just keep applying for the jobs and hopefully somebody will like what you bring to the program.

Well said. You couldn't be more right about that situation he's in. One of Norman's main reasons he came back cuz the wife hated the country I thought that was pretty funny. Good luck to him in building something the way he sounds he's pretty excited about the job.

Hows Henry Co. going to look?

Seneca is a legitimate contender in the seventh region and rightfull should be. They have 12 seniors returning from a team that had Trinity down 1 going into the bottom of the seventh but couldn't pull it out in the district game. If you remember correctly that Trinity team was awfully good with Holland who now plays at U of L. 1 through 9 in the line-up can hit and hit well to all fields they only lost 1 senior that played every game and that was their catcher Kyle Docs but he will be replaced by Zach Adams which in my opinion is just as good or better than Docs. Bryan Clemmons will probably move back to his natural position at 2nd base and might have the quickest hands I've seen in a long time. Yes the hitting will not be the question but the pitching and I think they have 4 or 5 that can get outs for 3-4 innings at a time. No they don't have that one dominant pitcher that will go out and get you 7 innings every start but they have a few players. Bryan Chappell will probably be the ace of the staff after that it is unknown. Clemmons is probably the best pitcher but unknown of his elbow problem might be better off in a closer role for this team. I just believe this team will make a serious run in 7th this year and it could also be how the 7th draws out for them.

I do agree with the some of the calls by the refs in that game especially the punt formation where Central went offsides. Belfry went into their set position and didn't move and were called for a false start. I hated how he would say whose team it was the penalty on instead of just saying offense or defense. Now for the pass interference calls they could of went either way in my opinion. The funny thing is we didn't have one single holding call in that whole game and please don't tell me it was a clean game because holding happens every play. The only flags were offsides, false start and illegal motion is that all those refs knew because I thought state championship you get the best of the best. One other thing if somebody familiar with Belfry would tell me why are they conservative because the play action out of the wishbone that receiver closest to the sideline was open all game. In all it was a hard hitting game and two GREAT teams battled to the final gun.

So if Redman goes to Male will Higgins from Fern Creek go to Male?

This game will be over by halftime, X looked good against Marshall Co. Talk about leaving a statement on that game. I think it will be 35-7 by half and St. X rolls to a 56-14 final. X just has to much for anybody except Trinity, like someone said earlier the rematch is set in the Pizza Box.

I would have to say Oldam County (5-7) beating previously undefeated Anderson County.
