  1. 6 to 10 point game either way. Neither of these teams will win by 3 scores in my opinion. Somerset scores between both teams were very similar scores. Hazard did handle Pineville easier, but rivalry game with district title potentially on the line I think adds a difference there. Williamsburg is hitting their grove, by no means do I think they are world beater but I think they are there with Hazard. They've won the last 4 games by an average of over 20 points, offense is starting to click more.
  2. I guess you realize in that game Williamsburg got inside the 5, 3 times to come away with a combined 3 points, which isn't good, but also isn't likely to happen a second time, and that their quarterback was out for a few series in the second quarter.
  3. Still think Wburg should be above KCD and Louisville Holy Cross, otherwise I agree.
  4. Hazard by whatever, Breathett has fallen on hard times, I'm afraid they are a microcosm of what a lot of schools about to go down.
  5. Unless it's changed out of state teams are worth only 1 point, no more no less.
  6. Disagree, Nicholas would be two or three scores consistently behind Hazard and Williamsburg and most of the other top 10 in 1a. Schedules of who they play may make one look better on paper, but not in reality.
  7. Hate this for Jenkins, they will have to go to Pineville back to back weeks now.
  8. Harlan jumped ahead 27-0 to start game, good comeback by Whitley.
  9. I really hope by some miracle Williamsburg and Raceland play again this postseason. Not sure it'll happen but Raceland will win this easy.
  10. As far as QB's go Alec Poore of Wburg is averaging 220 yards a game with 12 td's to 4 picks against some pretty good competition. Certainly better competition than what Paris has played and Bishop Brossart too for that matter.
  11. I'd move Williamsburg up to 7 and everyone else down a spot. Burg and Hazard are about equal in my opinion.
  12. LC has came a long way, still a bit further to go but you can see the progress.
  13. Williamsburg is a lot better than people think. Hazard will likely make the bus ride to burg now in second round for what should be a very good game.
  14. Williamsburg hasn't necessarily earned, but when you look at their schedule and the scores from that schedule, I think they are one of the top ten teams in 1a. I'd probably put them in the 9 spot above Fairview and Ky Country Day. But they will give Hazard and Pikeville a run in the region this year.
  15. If you want to complain about the officials get out there and try calling. I've called for closed to a decade and it's not as easy as people think. On a 5 man crew you have 10 eyeballs to watch 22 players. Coaches make it worse too, when a close call is made coaches are usually out on the officials pleading their case and it impacts officials getting together and having an open discussion about what just happened. In my experience when all the officials huddle and talk the wrong call is almost never made. Now that said a lot of officials won't say exactly what they saw when a coach is breathing down that huddles neck.
  16. Williamsburg is moving the right direction. Still not developed the depth they need to be back to where they were a couple of years ago, but this team is young and come November they will not be a team you want to see.
  17. He must have grown up a lot. He umpired baseball around here in college and I remember him bringing rules from MLB.com to a game to argue with North Laurel's coach about a game he called a few weeks prior. He was pretty full of himself at Cumberlands.
  18. Williamsburg lost almost nothing. They have an excellent group of freshman coming in as well. Harlan won't play within 20 points of williamsburg this year. And when you lose by 35 points as pineville did I wouldn't say it was because of home field. Williamsburg was a young team that hadn't had a lot of success at the game at Harlan, they hit their stride and played a lot better the last several games.
  19. Williamsburg was substantially better than pineville this year and by the end of the season they would've beaten Harlan by 2 or 3 scores. They will easily be better than those two this season.
  20. Not surprised, no one underachived more than Richt. UGA was the only top tier SEC program UK routinely competed with. Years of losses to Florida and UT and in the same span multiple wins over Richt and UGA.
  21. Time for Stoops to go. If you keep him next year it will be 3-9 or 4-8. Barker didn't start the first 10 games for a reason. His off field problems and effort today showed why. Missouri and S. Carolina will rebound and UK is still gonna be in neutral.
  22. Pike ills will have a long bus ride if that game happens, and don't forget Pikeville's choke job last year. Williamsburg by no means is the region favorite but with a district championship everyone comes to them, they could be in Bowling Green with a few breaks and I mean that. They also changed quarterbacks after the first game.
  23. Williamsburg will beat Harlan and Lynn Camp comfortably. Pineville is probably even with them at this point. I've watched Lynn Camp a couple of time and they aren't nearly as good as their record suggests. Berea and Jenkins didn't bring 30 kids combined to LC in those two games. Harlan has beaten a lot of weak competition so they are in the same boat.
  24. Williamsburg is better than you think. With the qb change you can throw the lca score completely out. They aren't as good as they were, but they are a lot better than people think. They will be there with Pikeville and Hazard for the region. If Williamsburg can win their district and then find a way to win the region then Paintsville or Raceland will have to head south and anything can happen.
