  1. True but 9 of those wins are by this years senior class at Williamsburg. No one would argue Williamsburg has the tradition of Mayfield, but they are definitely changing the culture over the last 8 to 10 years.
  2. KHSAA handshake rule seems like something thrown together by the NCAA.
  3. This could klll Burg's offense. And me I do believe lightning could strike me for things i say but I never imagined I'd go out with a hail ball to the back of the head.
  4. Rotating between EKU and WKU wouldn't be a bad deal in my opinion.
  5. In all seriousness though does the game start at 11 eastern or 11 central? I'm trying to figure out when I need to leave.
  6. If the school boosters have the money I'd pay for a bus or two. If not then don't. I'd imagine Highlands boosters have the money to make it happen. The kids deserve a good fan base there. For the seniors it's their last game, and for many of them maybe this will be the only one they get to "contribute" to helping Highlands win.
  7. That's wonderful maybe they should voluntarily move up then and give themselves a bigger challenge since they seem to be so "prepared".
  8. No I can handle it. Have you seen Mayfield? And on that note I hope you haven't seen Bell County Middle School football this year, Bell is about to go way down. Whitley was up on them like 16-0 20 seconds in to the game in 8th grade this year.
  9. There is absolutely no way to know how this game will go. Is Mayfield the favorite? Absolutely. But to get on here and proclaim they will win by 4 or 5 scores and run over them is insane. There is no way to guarantee they are that much better.
  10. Love the total lack of respect. If Mayfield's players listen to all those around them talking like they are on here and Williamsburg can punch them in the mouth early they may not recover.
  11. It's the only way I could even remotely compare. And I would take common opponent scores over computers any day of the week. I agree it's not very accurate, but I've see Wayne play and they are one of the best teams I've seen our way in a long time.
  12. We play games on the field not on computers, LIT is just another computer ranking and like the BCS it's far and away not a guarantee. Computer numbers will punish Williamsburg for probably the weakest district in the state, and knock their numbers way down.

  14. Let's look at it this way because frankly it's the only way we can. Mayfield beat Paducah Tilghman by 7 Wayne beat them by 24 after a 5 to 6 hour bus ride. I'll take Wayne all day against Mayfield.
  15. Wayne is substantially better. Mayfield could be as good as North Laurel, but no way they are as good as Wayne.
  16. Looks pretty good just walking by, still some frost that will add some moisture as it melts, but overall field is going to be in really good shape considering the weather this week and the time of year.
  17. Did you sleep last night?
  18. I've got to take my wife to Williamsburg in the morning I'll drive by and post an update around 10 or so in the morning. But the field is at the crown of a hill that drains down all sides so it's usually as good as anywhere. Also, with Williamsburg's offense they would much prefer a dry field to a wet one.
  19. I haven't been by it today but I highly doubt it, it has good drainage all around it. If it gets as warm as it was today again tomorrow it could be very close to dry.
  20. I'd love to talk more in depth about this game but the reality is Raceland and their opponents are completely removed from teams I have seen play so I can't comment a lot on if they can or can't win. You have to assume that any team that makes it this far has a chance to win.
  21. Depends on what you mean by changes. I'm sure they will bring a good crowd, but I wouldn't build a whole new set of bleachers for one game.
  22. It's a very small stadium with not a lot of visitor seating. Honestly never been much of a need for it very few teams have ever brought a big crowd to the Burg.
  23. This game being broadcast online?
  24. What kind of kicker does Raceland have? In all seriousness I could see this one coming down to an extra point or a field goal in a 7-6 or 3-0 type game.
  25. After mine and Joker's conversation on this last night I think I've figured out what I would do. I would go get a motel and try and find some activity for my kids to do Friday morning at 10:30/11 to have some fun. Ultimately enjoying these sort of things is what it's all about, make it really special. Tour a college along the way as a group, see a state park. Many of these kids will never see the part of the state they are traveling to again.
