gold sunrise
What does Knott Co. Central need to do to improve in 2008/2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
roosterhead
Cox from JBS, addition big for added scoring. Stamper, Caudill, Amburgey, and Mullins make up core group. Bartrum, Huff, adn Mosley to come off bench. Should have solid year and contend for 14th region crown.
Master of the Hardwood
Losing the Hall boy back to JBS is big for them. They have a guard oriented team that can run and shoot with anyone, but if they meet up with anyone with any size, they will struggle. Definitely top 3 or 4 in the region though. Bart Fletch
They play hard, have a few great guards, but really need a consistant inside presence. Imo them, PCC, and LCC are the only teams in the region with a real shot at beating Hazard. I heard that KCC did beat Hazard in summerball....but thats summerball. Loosing Hall is a big lose down low.
roosterhead
Don't forget Ratliff. Very true, thanks for reminding me. Ratliff needs to be more assertive on the offensive end.
Master of the Hardwood
With the addition of Cox, Ratliff will not get to handle the ball at all now. They let him last year to give Stamper a break at the point, but now they won't need to do that. They need to stick him on a wing so he can penetrate when he does touch the ball and be able to get in the paint and get some rebounds. He is a big boy and could be a presence inside if he would work at it instead of hanging out on the three point line with the guards. They need to realize he is not a guard and move him underneath where he belongs.
pccfan24
Knott County has a team that has alot of experience. Cox and Stamper have both been getting alot of playing time since 8th grade. It will be interesting to see them this year and it will be very interesting to see how Stamper and Cox play with each other.
