^ It depends on who some root for. I guess. That's not a foul 9/10 times....

No big deal....has been all year...we are the undefeated team.....only one too!!

We? I had you pegged as a Lafayette guy.

...in the end, you know what? It's our fault, we let them hang around in essentially a home game, and they had more points when the clock hit zeros....we won't let that type of scenario happen again. Great learning point.

I believe you. I hope I get a chance to see Trinity this year.

It was a great game. I just wish Calipari had hung around for this game. Several athletes on the floor that could flat out play ball.

IMO that last play should have been a no call. The Trinity player had position on the inside, you have to let that go. Ref put the game in his own hands rather than letting the players decide. Also, how much time was on the clock when Central shot those last free throws? From what I understand there was .1 seconds left, shouldnt there have been a T on Central for coming onto the floor (just wondering?)

I think that is the point that the T fans are making! Let it go to OT and if MC wins, so be it. You can argue over dumb fouls T made earlier and missed free throws by T but refs should not be that critical in the final outcome of the game and in this case they were.

The game should ALWAYS be decided by the play of the kids and not the stripes and there is no question if you look at the tape, no matter how biased you are, that the last call should not have been made and the game should have gone to OT.

I agree with YOU loubball.........Hey Purple Guy? In light of Boyle's BIG win over Dunbar do you have any predictions about Friday night at Lincoln?

There was time on the clock and a foul is the same whether its in the first qtr or last. Sounds like you aren't happy your team lost.

I agree. Nothing is more aggravating to me than referees not working all the way until the clock expires.

Just curious...how was this essentially a home game for Madison Central?

They had far more crowd support than us.

Nope. I have no clue what Boyle team will show up on Friday.

If the Boyle team that played last night shows up then we should win. If the Boyle team we have seen all year shows up then we'll lose by double digits.

So if a player is using his body in a box out position to prevent the person he is guarding to receive a pass that isn't a foul?

Or is it only not a foul if there is .1 on the clock?

As someone who has refereed in the 9th region for several years in the 90's, I would not have made either of those calls.

The player boxing out has the same right to the ball as the player behind him. I would argue that the MC player fouled Dieudonne as he jumped over his back to get the ball.

If this was a rebound situation, no question the MC player fouled him.

You are allowed to see it through your rose colored glasses any way you would like but in that situation, 0.1 sec on clock, the ref should NEVER make that call unless a player does some malicious act.
