January 14, 201214 yr Does any team in the country get called for more offensive fouls than Kentucky?
January 14, 201214 yr IMO Impressive trip for the freshman Cats going on their first road trip in the SEC and getting two wins. Once again a crucial charging call that should not have been a charge. You will see it in every college game you watch. In this one, late in the game, Teague driving to the hoop, UT defender sets up, Teague sets his feet at the same time as the UT defender then jumps virtually directly to the right to avoid contact, UT defender then slide to the left to create contact and the charge is called. If the UT defender holds his position, Teague wouldn't have even touched him.
January 14, 201214 yr Can't help but think an extra road test or two before Christmas would've led to a lot less squirming on the part of you Wildcat fans as you watched this game. Kentucky should've beaten this team by 20, whether the officiating was bad or not.

We don't need to drag another one off topic destroying your precious little theory.

Why does it matter if they are tested pre-conference or in conference? This team has bigger fish to fry than a regular season SEC championship.

The defense almost always gets the benefit of the doubt and to me it should be the opposite. Nice win by this young team. It was ugly, but I like the way they closed it out. They took control and finished the deal.
January 14, 201214 yr Author The block/charging calls in college basketball are horrible. The defense almost always gets the benefit of the doubt and to me it should be the opposite. I think the new arc actually made this worse. It's like the officials are thinking, "well.. the defender was outside the arc, so must be a charge"
January 14, 201214 yr Miller continues to disappoint. That young man is impossible to figure out. I think the officials will now call a charge not matter what as long as the defender is set up outside the little circle.

January 14, 201214 yr That Stokes kid is gonna be good. He ate Jones alive. The kid is going to be good, but Jones played well IMO.
