January 2, 201214 yr You never apologize for how you get into the playoffs! Right. Now they need to actually win a playoff game.
January 2, 201214 yr They should fire Lewis once the season ends next week. He is gutless when making coaching decisions and will never lead the Bengals to a Super Bowl. Two players got them where they are and they are rookies. All of their wins were against teams they should have beaten because they had losing records. I don't believe they beat a team with a winning record. Enjoy one more week but if you think Ray rice went off today, just wait until those 2 backs with 1000+ yards from Houston get ahold of em. Those awesome backs , Didn't hurt them to bad a few weeks ago . qustionable . Stack the box .Didn't Houstons third or fourth string Qb get hurt today , so is he questionable .. Talk about not looking good ,Houston hasn't really looked like a Powerhouse the last few weeks (INDY proved that ).
January 2, 201214 yr The Bengal D did a solid job except for the 2 big runs that accounted for 120 yards. I would not automatically say Texans roll on the ground. Take away those 2 plays and the run D was fairly solid today.

One correction, they did beat one team with a winning record.
January 2, 201214 yr Whether they backed into the playoffs or not you can't argue they got the best possible draw for the first round. Houston is reeling and I wouldn't be surprised if they face off against NE in two weeks. That is a whole different animal.
January 2, 201214 yr Anything can happen in the playoffs. How many 1 seeds have won it all? As for today, you get in, that's all that matters.
January 2, 201214 yr So he's still good in your eyes? No big wins even at home and really tailed off the last 5 games. That's not a concern at all?
January 2, 201214 yr New England did not beat any team with a winning record. Great stat. I think their QB has proven his worth though
January 2, 201214 yr Great stat. I think their QB has proven his worth though But what about the original point that was made about the Bengals not beating anyone with a winning record? It was made to diminish the Bengals accomplishment, right? But New England does the same thing and gets a hall pass because they have a good, veteran QB? Not working for me.

But New England does the same thing and gets a hall pass because they have a good, veteran QB? Not working for me. New England went 13-3 doing it and outscored their opponents by 171 points. Cincinnati went 9-7 and outscored their opponents by 21 points. While the Patriots didn't beat anyone with a winning record (unless Dallas comes back to win tonight) they do own 7 wins against teams that finished 8-8. New England dominated their mediocre/bad opponents outscoring them by an average of 32-21. The Bengals average margin was 21.5-20. Big difference in the two teams.

But New England does the same thing and gets a hall pass because they have a good, veteran QB? Not working for me. My concern is arm strength. That's why he fell to them. He has been below average the last 5 weeks. Is that really not a concern? Brady threw for 2000 more yards than Dalton. I think he's good. I don't know about Dalton. I was roasted for bringing it up before.

He's had one hell of a season and he's a rookie.
