January 2, 201214 yr How good is Peyton Manning's arm? Brady's doesn't seem great even though I think he's the best deep ball passer of all-time. Dalton is not in their class, at least right now but I think as a rookie he's been promising. Its not like he's throwing a record number of pick-sixes or anything. Both have far better arms and are far more proven. I totally agree about the promising rookie who makes a lot better decisions than the guy that was here before him. He's a very good game manager and the only chances he takes are to Green and those are worth taking.
January 2, 201214 yr Hated to lose but the game was a blast. The Bengals are the youngest team in the NFL and it showed. Can't give up big plays and we missed a chance at a couple of big plays. I don't see why people are worried about Dalton's arm strength. There is plenty of zip on his ball and the young man isn't scared to put it in a tight spot. Simpson quit on his routes a couple of times. Those would have been nice gains. I thought Lee should have caught the ball over the middle for a TD. If this young team gets over the hump with a win at Houston. They'll give New England a run for there money. These guys have no fear. Who-Dey !
January 2, 201214 yr I'm still not sold on Gruden either. They aren't good in the red zone or on short yardage plays and they have really tailed off in the 2nd half of the season. I'm not saying Dalton isn't good. I like most things about him. His arm is the one thing I QUESTION, and the kool-aid drinkers hate it. No, you incessantly try to shoehorn your "analysis" of his "weak arm" and how he won't amount to anything into every Bengals thread. I can't think of one time it's actually corresponded with play on the field. Your mind was made up on Dalton before he ever put on an orange jersey and now that he's playing well you just use his draft position to try and pound a square peg into a round hole. It's hard to take seriously someone who says he has a weaker arm than a high schooler. It's gotten humorous at this point so I like to poke fun.

It's hard to take someone seriously who admits his arm isn't big yet takes personal shots for someone questioning his arm strength. I've said good things (I even said he was ORY until he started struggling) about him except for that his arm may not be big enough. He missed some throws yesterday. Blame the wind or anything else you want. Facts are facts. They've struggled the last half of the season and he's gone over 200 yards once in the last 5 games. This is a passing league and 200 yards a game doesn't cut it against teams that aren't using Skelton or Clemmons. Saying that I'd much rather have him than CP now and going forward and it's not even close.
January 2, 201214 yr I don't get the personal attacks. When they win 6 games next year and miss the playoffs I'll remember them though. I have realized one very similar thing this year. The same people who thought they were going to suck this year, are the same people who still complain about how this team will do. Then tries to find ways to still put the team down, to not look as bad for being completely wrong about this years team. I honestly don't know if your a Bengals fan or not. However if you are it sure seems like you kind of want them to lose sometimes, or for certain players to play bad so you can say see told you. Even though those arguments look silly considering this team is in the playoffs. You keep outting Gruden and Dalton down. Two guys who are in their first years in the League, two guys who didn't have any off season to install and offense and then learn an offense. Playing 10 games against top 10 defenses, and even with all that they have done pretty good. Yes not great but pretty good, and good enough to get them in the playoffs. If your a Bengals fans just enjoy it, I mean as everyone says this is only the third time in 21 years we have been in the playoffs. With this franchise its never a guarantee that it would happen again soon, crazy things happen with this team. Like losing basically are whole 2005 draft class the next season after making the playoffs. So just enjoy it, its been a real fun season supporting this team.
January 2, 201214 yr All I know, is that I will be fully tuned in next Saturday and rooting for the Bengals to bring home a winner.
January 2, 201214 yr All I know, is that I will be fully tuned in next Saturday and rooting for the Bengals to bring home a winner. There is no reason not to enjoy it. Yet if they lose I am fully convinced that some on here probably would be a little happy about it, and say see told you. People just need to enjoy this, we are Bengals we have had MANY MANY bad years. So need to enjoy it when we have a good young team, and just a refreshing team by how hard they work.

I love it that they're in the playoffs and I think they will win next week. It doesn't mean I have to think Dalton has a strong arm though right?
January 2, 201214 yr He has a fine arm. No one says it's a "big" arm. But you have to be really coked up to think it's a weak arm. I feel like you watch cats play with yarn and someone just tells you it's the Bengals.
January 2, 201214 yr Is everyone who pounded me for saying Dalton wasn't that good and his arm wasn't strong enough sure he's good and his arm is good? He's gone over 200 yards once in his last 5 games. It was today for 230 yards Why do you think that has happened?
January 2, 201214 yr Hate to say it but I think the Bengals are frauds.. we really haven't beat a quality team. Maybe edge out Houston their so banged up but at NE won't be pretty.

Wins at Tenn and at Seattle are definitely quality wins and they could have easily won both or one of the Balt games if they caught even one break. They had Houston beat but completely choked it. I think they are rated right where they should be actually. A 8-10 win team with a lot of young players and a promising future. Also the Niners beat them when they had their worst offensive game of the year and still only lost 13-8. The only really bad game they have had is the Steelers a couple weeks ago.
January 2, 201214 yr Why do you think that has happened? Schedule got tougher. Weather got colder. Arm isn't quite big enough.
