FC I have said Brown made good decisions when he made them. 4 or 5 weeks ago I was saying Dalton deserved OROY. I'm pointing out hat he's been well below average for over a month and one person asks what drugs I'm on and you say I want them to lose. I don't get it at all.

At the beginning of the season you said you wanted them to go 0-12 and draft Luck.

Still saying I was Coked up was completely uncalled for.

I was hoping they would play 16, but I thought that was the only way they could turn it completely around is get lucky and get Luck. I think this season is way more false hope than real hope because of the schedule. I still thik Marin is terrible during he gamw which is important. I hope I'm wrong. One good thing was the fans didnt cave until he BOGO offer so the Brown clan may still try making improvements.

Then as soon things do go wrong, or Dalton struggles. One of the first things you say see told you, do people believe me now that he has a weak arm? It just makes it seem like you are happy when things do go wrong, so you can say things about it. I know I for one have had enough to complain about the Bengals for years, and tired of always looking at their faults like we do when they suck more times than not. No one thinks this team is perfect, so it's just weird that you always like to point out the flaws when people are excited about the team. We see those things too, but no reason to dwell on them. They are in the playoffs, and yes they will have to do better in some area's if they want to make a run at it. However the key is that they are in, and anything is possible once a team is in the playoffs. It's a new season.

I agree with you that shouldn't be said, even if it was in a joking manner.

As for next season I don't know why you consider it false hope. The whole AFC this year was weak, there was backup QB's playing everywhere this year. So when it comes to teams in the AFC all teams were playing in a weak AFC too and had games against backup QB's. The teams closest to the Bengals for the last playoff spots had chances to play their way in, but they couldn't even beat non winning teams. So if the Bengals are lucky, then how bad are those teams? And the Bengals did that with the youngest team in the AFC this year, and with no off season with this youngest team. So if anything this team should be much better next year after experience and gaining more talent through the draft. So even if the schedule is tougher, the Bengals should be even a better team next year. So they are not creating false hope, there is plenty of hope for this year and next season and future seasons to come.

Actually you are way off. I didn't say anything about his arm for a long time. I mentioned it again this week after 5 straight games of not throwing the ball well not one bad game. 4 of the last 5 games under 200 yards passing in a league where the passing game has a clear advantage over defenses should be a concern for non kool-aid drinkers.

Hmmm for someone who took offense to someone giving you a name for your opinions, I think you would be wise to stop doing the same thing for people who actually don't complain all the time about the Bengals. You really like that kool-aid drinker comment, I know I sure heard it a lot before this season. Even though I gave exact reasons why I thought the Bengals would do well, and most of those reasons have been true.

Which by the way your non-kool aid drinkers don't seem to have the same opinion as you on the Dalton situation either. Not to mention for someone who likes to point out the backup QB stats. You can't seem to realize that they also played 10 games against top 10 defenses, and you act like a rookie QB should still be better than that against that? He is a rookie and he is going to have many games like a rookie, especially when your play the majority of your games against top defenses.

Did I read correctly that Dalton is the first rookie QB in NFL history to start 16 games and lead his team to a playoff berth? Very impressive.

No that is incorrect. He is the first NFL rookie who was NOT a first round pick to start all 16 games. Also the first rookie to throw 20 touchdowns and have a winning record to get a team to the playoffs. Not bad for a guy with a weak arm that will hurt how he does that we keep hearing about haha. Especially since it came in the toughest division in football, and playing 10 games against top 10 defenses. :D

FC, is it humanly possible for you to go a single post without mentioning you predicted the Bengals to play do well this season? I mean, we get it, we got it the first thousand times.

Um nope. :D I mean you should have known it was coming considering as much crap you all gave me for saying they would do that. I fully expect that you all would have given me plenty of crow each week if the team had sucked like you all thought. I went a whole off season dealing with it, so you all can go a whole season dealing with it. :D

For the 10th time I put little to no stock in the top 10 defense statistics angle whatsoever. 3 of the worst D's in the league stastically reside in NE, GB and NO. Those teams are good right? Those rankings don't take into account who you played or how your offense put you up 3 TD's so the other team passed against a soft D.

How did they fare in those games against the top 10 D's? I'm sure the Browns were in the top 10 b/c of their atrocious schedule and they are terrible so that should tell you all you need to know about that almost useless stat.

True but they are the same things over and over again, because other people keep making the same arguments over and over again. :D

Of coarse you don't put much stock in top 10 defenses because that goes against what you say. You point out how Dalton's numbers haven't been that great, well playing top 10 defenses does matter when it comes to that. It's not like he has played the defenses from Green Bay, New England, New Orleans. Do they win those games honestly I admit probably not because those are elite teams and they haven't beaten elite teams. However does he probably put up even better numbers and maybe even his best numbers possibly. So top 10 defenses does matter when your going to put down a QB and a rookie QB at that when he hasn't put up 200 yards in a game much.

Their record against top 10 defenses is 4 and 6 I believe.
